Chill, calm, friendly Dalston flat share

Vibe: we’ve created a chill, considerate, communicative, creative, conscious, fun & free home. We want to keep it this way so it’s important you can clean up after yourself, respect boundaries and communicate with good faith and emotional maturity if issues arise.

We all have our own lives outside of the house but at home we've created a supportive community with healthy friendships amongst ourselves. We're all neurospicy ambiverts with fluctuating social batteries, when we're not enjoying our peace and solitude alone we like to go charity shop shopping, have impromptu fashion shows, hang out in the kitchen, binge Netflix (Supacell, Married At First Sight and Selling Sunset are some of our recent guilty pleasures) and chat till the early hours, too.

The room: great size for the price, comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe and bedside table. The bathroom, with shower over the bath, is only shared with one other person and you have the added luxury of it being the only bathroom with a window in the flat.

The people:

We're all neurospicy and amongst ourselves use the Nando's Peri-ometer spice chart to describe our spice levels.

Laure (25) : Lemon & Herb brain. French/Burundian, Assistant Manager at RAINS by day, musician by night and thrift shopping Queen with fits so damn fire she literally gets stopped in the streets the rest of the time.

Luke (33): Lemon & Herb brain. Fun loving Kiwi, occasional Pride manager hero by night, dazzling tech Delivery manager in TV by day. Loves tinnies in the sun, hip hop, finding bargains in Aldi, making friends on the Overground, galavanting all over Europe and exploring all our glorious London city has to offer.

Eduardo (32): Medium brain. Venezualen, Billing coordinator at a city law firm. Sex positive international man of culture who's also partial to an impromptu cardboard sword fight in the kitchen. Likes early morning walks near parks, very tidy, likes doing improv, mediation, self discovery, enjoying life through play (and food!) and playing video games.

Liza (33): Medium brain. Artist, writer, playwright & leftie activist, former insufferable corporate sell out (it's a long story). Proudly disabled/differently abled, subscribing to the social model of disability, Bi, contrarian love of class warfare, often heard poetically ranting about "Rich kids in Carhart", posh twats and end stage capitalism in general.

Obviously we want to keep everybody comfortable around each other and the flat vibes stress free, so somebody anti-racist, comfortable in neurodiverse spaces, queer friendly and feminist would be an ideal fit

Flat: It’s a nice 5 bed flat with all the nice normal house fixtures, but with all the rooms coming off the open plan kitchen, diner and living space it has an open feel to it.

Location: it’s 6 mins from Dalston Junction and Haggerston station and also along the 76, 149, 242 and 243 bus routes.

Practical bits & pieces: room available from 12th August, with potential flexibility for an earlier move in date if needed.

It's a joint tenancy with 6 months left. You'll need to have proof of employment (or last years tax return, verified by your accountants, if freelance), right to rent and address history etc to pass referencing

Sadly, the rent will increase by £22 from December onwards as part of a staggered rent increase we negotiated. Landlords gon landlord :(
