Hello!
We are Beth and Morgan and on the hunt for a new flatmate as sadly our current flatmate is moving back abroad. You would be taking over her contract which ends mid June 2026. With the option to renew another year thereafter.
The room is available from November 1st but there could be flexibility to move in either side at the discretion of our current flatmate.
The flat itself is virtually brand new having been renovated from scratch in 2024, with all modern finishes. It’s also in a fantastic location in Dalston. Straight out the door you have an array of coffee shops, bars and restaurants :)
Transport: there is a bus stop less than a minute away which takes you to central destinations such as Shoreditch, London Bridge and Waterloo. Dalston kingsland station is a 6 minute walk away and Dalston Junction a 10 minute walk.
About us: I (Beth) work as a PA in advertising and Morgan is a digital account manager in fashion. We are easy going, relaxed professionals and good friends. We enjoy travelling, good coffee, trash tv and the odd glass of white wine on a Friday evening. We are both sociable people but do also value our own time (and a good nights sleep!), so we would be looking for someone who is similar to this. We would also be looking for a professional to fill the room as opposed to a student.
In terms of bills these are not included and we divide these responsibilities equally; I look after Wi-Fi and water: Morgan; gas and electric and our current flatmate looks after council tax. We then have a split share and pay each other when owed. We think this works well, but be happy to alter responsibilities as needed. The flat is council tax band C.
The deposit is £920 which is put into a deposit protection scheme. The landlords are responsive and reliable.
For furnishings, it comes with a double bed, and we can likely arrange a wardrobe through our landlord. Our current flatmate Marie may be willing to sell her desk etc.
