Description
Available from 25 November | £1,500 pcm including all bills & Wi-Fi | Minimum 4 months, 6 preferred
I’m subletting my large, south-facing bedroom in a well-decorated flat in sought-after De Beauvoir while I’m away.
Set within a particularly tranquil pedestrian and cycling village on the Islington/Hackney border, the flat is within easy walking distance of the canal.
There’s a local pub and cafés on the doorstep, a gorgeous deli, a whole foods shop, an authentic pizza restaurant and plenty of other lovely places to eat and drink within five minutes. It’s a quiet little pocket right in the heart of the action.
The location really is hard to beat. It’s one of those quiet village spots that still feels right in the middle of everything.
The flat is in a secure first-floor building with plenty of natural light and views over a quiet street. There’s a comfortable shared living room, a communal balcony, and a small but well-equipped kitchen. Washing machine, drying rack, shared shower room and bicycle locking points in the courtyard are all included.
The bedroom is the larger of the two. It’s fully furnished with a double bed, plenty of storage and a blackout blind, plus space above the wardrobe and under the bed for suitcases. My personal belongings will be removed. You’re welcome to keep any of the decorative pieces if you’d like.
If you’re arriving with just suitcases, I can leave bedding, pillows, a duvet and towels. The pillows and duvet would need to be professionally dry cleaned at the end of the stay, at your expense. I can recommend a good, reasonably priced cleaner.
You’ll be sharing with just one other person, James, 36, who works at Lionsgate. He loves to cook and keeps the kitchen spotless, even washing up a single mug. He’s into all sorts of music, is a movie buff, polite and considerate, and very easy to share with.
The flat is within easy walking distance of Haggerston, Hoxton, Dalston, London Fields, Broadway Market, Shoreditch and Angel. Haggerston and Canonbury stations are the closest, with Dalston Junction, Dalston Kingsland and Essex Road also nearby. Buses stop right outside for Old Street, Moorgate, Bank, London Bridge and Waterloo, with more routes on Kingsland Road and Essex Road for Shoreditch, Liverpool Street, Angel, King’s Cross and the West End.
Ideally looking for a female professional who works outside the home. Someone who already knows and appreciates the De Beauvoir area would be a bonus. There’s a friendly crowd in the building who like to get out and enjoy the area, while still being respectful of it being a quiet residential building. Looking for someone who gets that, not an at-home party person. The room is for one person only.
Minimum stay 4 months, 6 preferred, with the exact length agreed in advance. My return date is flexible, so a little longer may be possible if it suits us both.
£1,500 per month including all household bills and Wi-Fi. Excessive energy use may be charged separately. £1,500 deposit required. A cleaner can be arranged if wanted, with the cost shared between you and James. References required.
Please get in touch if you’re looking for a beautiful flat in a gorgeous London village. Tell us a little about yourself and the dates you’re looking for, and we can arrange a viewing and a chance to meet James.
