Description
Hi all,
I am looking to rent out the room in my house and I have added photos and description below. Have a read and if you are interested, pop me a message with a few lines about yourself, what you do for work, where you currently live and why you are looking to move etc. and we can arrange a viewing!
About the area
The house is situated in West Ealing down a quiet road and it's 15 minutes away from West Ealing Station and Hanwell station on the Elizabeth line, It takes around 30 minutes to get to Tottenham court Road, Bond Street and Paddington.
About the House
There is separate kitchen with sofa and television which has bi-fold doors that lead onto a small garden where there is seating area and deck chair. There is a further living room at the front of the house with television and dining area. The benefit of this is that there is plenty of space downstairs to relax, enjoy a movie, cook etc. The back of the house gets sun until the afternoon and then front of the house then gets sun until late afternoon/early evening. The garden can get very hot from April on wards with the sun and is really nice place to sit out an enjoy breakfast/lunch. I have a cat called Napoleon who loves to sit on people's knees if you are watching television and doesn't like to be by himself so will follow people around.
o Gym – There is a Golds gym 15-minute walk away, It has a swimming pool, sauna, running and weights, around £30 a month.
o Supermarkets - There is a large very cheap Lidl next to the gym and a Waitrose a more expensive option which is next to West Ealing station. Also, corner shops, barbers, dentist and doctors at the top of the road.
o Pubs/Coffee shops - The Drayton Arms has the largest beer garden in West London, it shows Wimbledon, Football etc and has a pub quiz/comedy night. There’s a couple of very nice coffee shops, one called Momentum and the Clock tower cafe, and a greasy spoons type cafe.
General Info
- I find it’s really important to set expectations so everyone has a shared understanding so some points below:
- The room is single occupancy ONLY, a partner is wellcome to stay for a couple of nights once every week or once a week but definitely not more than this. We don't want partners staying longer than this and becoming extra housemates.
- We are not a party house, the house is a great place to come home and relax after a day at work, having a friend over occasionally is OK but not each week. We want the place for us all to enjoy and give everyone space. There’s plenty of bars, cafes etc to hang out with friends.
- I play badminton midweek, and also stay with my boyfriend at his flat once a week and I'm out and about most weekends.
- I'm looking for someone who essentially is independent, happy to chat and respectful of each others space. My previous housemate was with me for 3 and a half years.
Other requirements
o You will be required to sign a lodger’s agreement which will detail:
o Rent of £700 a month and inclusive of all bills.
o A deposit of £700
o Four weeks’ notice to leave
o Total payable before moving in of £1400.
