Cozy double room in East Dulwich

Hello everyone! We have a double room opening up in our lovely shared house, nestled in the heart of East Dulwich, available from the first week of December - specific date to discuss. Here’s what you need to know:

The room: the room is furnished with a double bed and a wardrobe. It's a small room, but cozy and comfortable.

The area: the house is located on a very quiet street. East Dulwich train station is within 6 minutes walking distance from the house and provides direct links to London Bridge (13min). The area provides excellent bus connections:
- 40 to London Bridge/Aldgate
- 176 to Tottenham Court Road
- 185 to Victoria
- 484 to Lewisham
- P13 to nearby areas


Denmark Hill station, with trains to Victoria and Overground, is only 3 minutes away by bus or 15 minutes’ walk.
There is a big Sainsbury’s only 3 minutes’ walk from the house and the vibrant Lordship Lane is only 6 minutes’ walk, with restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, pharmacies, gyms, cafes, and anything else you might need.

The house and the housemates: you will be living with three women, aged 28-34, all professional. We respect each other’s privacy, but happy to hang out every now and then in the kitchen.

What we are looking for: we are looking for a female, 30 years or older, who ideally does not work from home. We treat this house as our home, so we are looking for someone who would do the same. We like the house clean, so we are looking for someone who keeps the shared areas clean and tidy, contributes to the cleaning tasks (in addition to always cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen and living room), and collaborates for things that benefit the house.
Smoking is not allowed inside the house.

The rent and the landlord: rent is £540 per month and a deposit of £577 is required in advance. Bills add up to around £100 per month, covering energy, council tax, internet, and alarm; the water bill arrives every six months and is normally around £80 each.
Our landlord is approachable and responsive, and normally available when his input or intervention is needed for anything in the house. He requires references and proof of income before moving in.
