Description
We’re looking for someone to take over the tenancy of a room in our flat in Denmark Hill / East Dulwich.
£800 rent plus ~£150 bills (including water, gas, electricity, council tax band C, fibre wifi) per month.
We would prefer a long-term arrangement.
About the flat:
The furnished two story flat has three bedrooms, a bathroom (shower/bath) and toilet upstairs. Downstairs there is a large living room with two sofas and a dining table, and a kitchen with a breakfast bar and ample cupboard space. We have our own small garden with a raised decking area. There is space to store a bike under the stairs. Our landlord is very friendly and easily contacted if necessary.
About the area:
Our nearest stations (Zone 2) are both roughly a 10 minute walk away:
- East Dulwich (direct trains to London Bridge) and
- Denmark Hill (direct trains to Victoria, Blackfriars, Whitechapel, Clapham Junction and more)
There are also bus routes directly to Waterloo, Elephant & Castle, Vauxhall, Brixton and Peckham.
Our nearest shop is a large Sainsbury's supermarket ~5 mins walk away. The neighbourhood itself is quiet with green spaces including a small woodland area. East Dulwich high street (Lordship Lane) is a 10-15 minute walk and features a large number of cafes, pubs and shops.
About us:
Sam and I met at Durham uni where we both played saxophone in our college jazz band, and have now been friends for 5+ years. We still play music together regularly and go to lots of live events with the rest of our friends from the band.
Sam is now a PhD candidate researching AI uncertainty at KCL, he plays hockey, enjoys hiking, and is currently training for a half marathon. Andrew is working as a barista while searching for software development opportunities. He spends time writing and rehearsing music and is currently attempting to learn Portuguese.
We’re both likely to be out of the house a few evenings a week but we like to hang out in the living room when we get the chance. We often cook together or for each other and you’d be welcome to get involved if you wanted to.
Please get in touch if you’re interested, and let us know a bit about yourself! We’d like someone who is social and shares some of our interests, and we’re open to people of all backgrounds. Thank you!
