Description
A double room in a sunny garden flat, right in the heart of London's gay triangle in Zone 1.
Kitchen comes with a large American fridge freezer that dispenses ice. There’s also a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave, plus tons of gadgets including an AirFryer, toaster, sandwich maker and bread making machine.
In the lounge there’s a 65” smart TV with surround sound system, along with Netflix, Apple TV, Disney+ and more. There’s also 1Gb fibre wifi broadband throughout.
The flat has a south-facing garden with sunny patio and gas barbecue. At the end of the garden is a pond and summerhouse, perfect for relaxing in the warmer months. The summerhouse also provides additional storage space for a small fee.
Sophisticated smart lighting and heating system ensures only the spaces you use are taking energy.
While the flat (and its friendly, chilled and amenable landlord - ie, me) should tick most of your boxes, it's always the location that matters most. Being in Zone 1, it couldn’t get much better. It’s just a two-minute walk to the supermarket for groceries, 650m to Burgess Park or 15-20mins walk to London Bridge and Elephant & Castle stations, both in Zone 1 and with overground and underground connections (Northern, Bakerloo and Jubilee lines - or trains out to the south and east). It means you can be in Soho in under 30mins. With many bus connections right on your doorstep it’s just one bus all the way to Hampstead Heath. Want to go clubbing? It’s just 3km to the clubs in Vauxhall and there are saunas close by in Kennington and Waterloo. For those that prefer legs over wheels, Tower Bridge is a 15minute walk from here and you can walk to Westminster in half an hour.
And yet, despite its proximity to the Old Kent Road, the flat is in a backstreet that is quiet by day and night, ensuring a restful sleep whenever you finally hit the sack.
You'd be sharing with myself and another gay guy. Generally a quiet and friendly household; big parties are rare these days but still enjoy the odd chillout or night of excess, and happy for you to do so too (within reason).
BTW, I should add that I have an 11year old white miniature schnauzer called Finn. Very friendly and docile but does like to say hello when you arrive.
