Large double room available immediately in a relaxed gay household in Zone 1, with all bills included, a recently refurbished kitchen and a large south-facing garden.

I’m a gay resident landlord and ideally I’m looking for another gay man who wants somewhere comfortable to genuinely call home rather than simply a room to sleep in.

The room is a good-sized double and currently has a five-drawer chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. I’m happy to keep the furniture fairly minimal if you already have your own things, or add another storage unit if needed. I’m also planning to replace the bedside cabinet, and you’d be welcome to have some input into the style.

The room has its own router with wired Ethernet connected to 1Gb fibre broadband, so it’s particularly good if you work from home.

There’s a shared bathroom and separate WC, which makes mornings easier.

The flat has a proper shared living room with a 65-inch TV and Netflix, and the recently refurbished kitchen is very well equipped, with an induction hob, boiling-water tap, American-style fridge/freezer with ice dispenser and Bosch washer/dryer. There’s also smart lighting and individually controlled heating throughout.

The flat also has a large south-facing garden with patio, pond, gas barbecue and summerhouse — a real bonus in central London, particularly once spring arrives.

I also have Ozzy, my miniature schnauzer, who is friendly and very much part of the household, so you’ll need to be happy living with a dog.

The household will be me, Ozzy and potentially one other lodger, so it remains a small household rather than a large house-share.

Location

Lidl is about 2 minutes away, Burgess Park is very close, and there are numerous buses straight into central London. Elephant & Castle and London Bridge are around 15–20 minutes’ walk.

We’re also in the area sometimes known as London’s gay triangle, with Vauxhall, Elephant & Castle and LGBT+ nightlife all easily accessible.

£1,100 pcm — all bills included, including gas, electricity, water, council tax and 1Gb broadband. Available immediately.

I’m ideally looking for someone who wants to stay long-term — hopefully a year or more — but with flexibility on both sides if it turns out not to be the right fit.
