Description
We have a wonderful room for a new flatmate in our bright, spacious converted warehouse flat in an excellent area between Barbican and Old Street.
We are sad to see our current flatmate go, however he is leaving us to move in with his partner. We would love to find someone who wants to make this flat feel like a home and is here for the long term.
We are looking for a new tenant to move in early / mid November 2025.
The room:
A large double bedroom with high ceilings, wooden floors and a vast window - can be unfurnished but the outgoing tenant would like to offer some existing furniture, including the matching wardrobe & drawers and bed frame if desired. You will be sharing a bathroom with two other flatmates (David and Chloé)
The rent is £931 without bills and you'll be asked to pay a 5 weeks deposit which is £1080 per room. The bills (water, electricity/gas, internet, council tax) vary between £90-100 per month per person, with an optional cleaner.
The best element of the flat is the enormous shared living and kitchen space, with triple aspect windows, projector, sofa area and large communal table. Kitchen is fitted with two fridge freezers, dishwasher, washing machine, oven and lots of cupboard space.
There’s a good deal of storage room around the flat as well, including room for bikes in our entrance way. The building has no parking, though permits can be purchased for spaces nearby, and the flat is located on the second floor.
Transport:
We’re located a few minutes’ walk from Barbican, Farringdon (Elizabeth line) and Old Street tube station. Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Bank are walking distance (15-20 minutes).
Bus routes include the 55 and 243.
Surroundings:
Nearby supermarkets include Tesco Express, Waitrose, M&S, Aldi and Coop, all within 5-10 minutes’ walk. We’re close to excellent areas including Shoreditch, Angel and Hackney, and the Barbican Centre is just down the road. We’re lucky to have a good selection of great pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, and Regents Canal is just a stroll away.
You'll be sharing the flat with:
David, a 36-year-old content writer and editor who works from home four days a week. Spend most of his free time enjoying London, eating out with friends, cooking, hosting board game nights or out for a run/cycle.
Chloé, 28, is a risk manager in the music industry and works at home two/three days a week. Enjoys travelling and trying new things, as well as keeping active and social. Having said that, she will never turn down a glass of wine/cocktail and a lazy night in. She likes to play guitar, sail, snowboard and can be found cycling around London on a Santander bike.
Alex & Naomi share a large ensuite room:
Naomi, 31 year old from New Zealand. Previously in healthcare but now pivoting to a 9-5 role. Enjoys exploring London, keeping active with social sport/walks, and trying new food places.
Alex (30), a software engineer from New Zealand. Being new to London, he's looking forward to exploring the city. In his free time he enjoys reading, watching movies, and playing social football.
This is one of four rooms, so we’re hoping to find an awesome, sociable, relaxed housemate preferably 27+ who might have a good network already established in London but want to spend time in the flat together.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
