Short-Term Lodger Wanted Over Christmas –Free Stay

We’re offering a free two-week stay in a quiet, comfortable home in North Finchley, North London over the Christmas period, staying with a 90-year-old gentleman.

🛏 About the arrangement:
• A commitment to sleep in the house between 21 December 2025 – 3 January 2026 inclusive. We may be able to extend this stay by a few days.
• You’ll have your own single room and a separate large study room and shower room. The sharer will have the full floor available to themselves.
• No rent or bills — this is a goodwill arrangement. There is a £460 deposit.
• You’re free to come and go during the day and late evenings. The key requirement is that you sleep in the house each night.

👤 Who we’re looking for:
• A mature, responsible individual (man or woman) aged 30 or over
• Someone who is kind, dependable, and happy to commit to the full two-week period. We are not looking for anyone less than 2 weeks.
• The sharer is welcome to bring their dog or cat.
• This is not a care role, no duties are asked.
• If you practice an instrument this would be very welcomed. There is a piano if you want to use this.

Location:
5min walk to Northern tube - Woodside Park station. Great location - 20 minute journey to Kings Cross. Please click on the map on spare room – the exact location is not shared due to confidentiality. Please note there will not be any public transport on Christmas day and limited transport on boxing day.

The Householder:
The Householder is a gentleman in his 90s. He is a retired university lecturer and still teaches. He is very independent. He enjoys discussing and keeping up to date with current affairs. He enjoys the arts and listening to opera. The Householder is a vegetarian but is open to sharing with non-vegetarians. There is a homesharer that lives with the gentleman on a permanent basis and she is away over the Christmas period.

The Home:
A 3 bedroom semi-detached home with dining room, living room, kitchen with eating area
Quiet suburban road – driveway or street parking
The room available ― single bedroom with single bed, wardrobe and sole use of a large study room.
Sole use shower
Toilets upstairs / downstairs
Cleaner twice a week for communal area included
WIFI incl.

Share my Home (the agent) is a social enterprise which pairs up an older person, who has a spare room, with a younger person for mutual benefits of shared living. There is no payment to the agency for this arrangement. Thanks for your time
