Looking for a housemate to fill the second room in a lovely two bed house in Forest Gate! 🌳🩷🎐

💒 About the house:
It’s a fully furnished two bed house in Forest Gate. There’s a sitting room, dining room, garden and fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and coffee machine! ☕️

The second bedroom comes with a bed and clothing storage, as well as a desk and chair (which can also be removed if preferred). We share one bathroom between the two of us. The landlady is brilliant - really responsive and gets things sorted!

📍 The area:
Two minutes from Wanstead Flats and a short walk to Wanstead Park. The area very much has an East London vibe, with lots of local cafés, pubs and parks. There’s a Lidl, Tesco, Co-op and Superdrug about a 10-15 minute walk away, as well as two corner shops just a minute from the house.

🚆 Getting around:
Around a 10–15 minute walk to Forest Gate (Elizabeth Line ~20 minute trip to Stratford station door-to-door) and a 10 minute walk to Wanstead Park (Overground).

💸 The costs:
Rent is £1,050/month. Bills are split 50/50 and come to around £225 per person per month on average - covering WiFi, council tax, cleaning, water and energy.

👧 About me:
Hi! I would be your housemate – I’m Shannon, 23, originally from South Africa 🇿🇦🥩🌞 and I’ve been living in London since early 2025. I work in marketing for a creative agency and WFH about three days a week.

I’m really active and currently training for a Hyrox. 🏃‍♀️ I’m also into all things wellness – swimming, cold plunges and saunas but I equally love a day or night out, 🤭 whether that’s trying a new restaurant, going for drinks (♥️ a crisp savvy b 🤌) or exploring London.

💞 About you:
I’m looking for a girl to take the second room.

I’m quite easy-going and because it’ll just be the two of us there aren’t really set ‘house rules’ but I do think it’s important that we’re both respectful of the place and of each other. 😇

I really like to keep the house feeling like a home. I’m someone who likes putting things back in their place, keeping on top of cleaning and making the space feel cosy so I’d love to find someone who’s naturally similar and happy to help keep our shared spaces organised and looking nice! 🎀🧼🫧

I would love if we actually got on and became friends. While I do appreciate our own space and independent lives, I’m also really social! Since it’ll just be the two of us, it’d be lovely to have a housemate who’s up for a coffee, pub trip, workout class, dinner etc. 🥰

Students or working professionals are both welcome and working from home is absolutely fine.

The room is available more or less immediately but if that’s too soon, early September also works. My current housemate has moved to Switzerland for work so there’s plenty of flexibility.
