Looking for a housemate to fill the second room in a lovely two bed house in Forest Gate!
About the house:
It's a fully furnished two bed house in Forest Gate. There's a sitting room, dining room and garden. The second bedroom comes with a bed and clothing storage. We share one bathroom between the two of us. The landlady is brilliant - really responsive and sorted!
The area:
Two minutes from Wanstead Flats and a short walk to Wanstead Park. The area very much has an East London vibe - with lots of local cafes, pubs, parks etc. There is a Lidl, Tesco, Co-Op and Superdrug about a 10-15 min walk away. As well as two corner shops about a 1 min walk away.
Getting around:
Around a 10-12 min walk to Forest Gate (Elizabeth Line) and a 10 min walk to Wanstead Park (Overground).
The costs:
Rent is £1,050/month. Bills are split 50/50 coming to around £225 per person per month on average, covering wifi, council tax, cleaning, water and energy.

Hi! I would be your housemate - I'm Shannon, 23, originally from South Africa and I've been living in London since early 2025. I work in marketing for a creative agency and WFH about 3 days a week. I'm really active and currently training for a Hyrox, and also into my wellness like swimming, cold plunges and saunas! But I also very much enjoy a social day or night out!
About you:
I'm looking for a girl to take the second room (sorry, no guys!). I'm quite easy going, and it would just be the two of us so there aren't really any set rules but expect that we're both respectful of the space and of each other. I'd love it if we actually got on and could be friends.
Students or working professionals accepted, working from home accepted, dogs are welcome as long as they're small-ish and well-behaved!
The room can be available more or less immediately. If that's too soon from early September 2025. My current housemate is taking up a position in Switzerland and can be really flexible.
