Description

Double bedroom available in 3 bed, 2-bath ex-council Fulham Maisonette, 10-13 min walk from Fulham Broadway/West Brompton. Council tax band C. Rent is £905 p. m., and share of bills (gas, electric, water, broadband, council tax) averages ca. £135-140 per month. Room is available from 2 October. Live out landlords who are generally fast to respond to maintenance requests.

Bedroom is 2.92x3.32 m in dimensions with curtained window, carpeted floors, and spacious walk-in closet for storage. It just about fits a king size bed and a desk. It is adjacent to the upstairs bathroom.

The well-lit living room is very spacious (3.93x6.71 m), currently equipped with three sofas, a coffee table, a dining table, a keyboard, bookshelves, and storage units. We've comfortably had dinner parties with up to 11 guests, and it is very well suited for tabletop games, film screenings, etc.

The kitchen has a surprising amount of storage space, and will come with two fridge-freezers (one upright, and another under-counter unit). You'll have shared use of a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, and large washer-dryer unit.

Your flatmates will be:

Michele (gay, he/him, 30), an Italian aerospace instrument engineer interested in Chinese language/culture/martial arts, travel (he quite regularly takes long trips abroad), science fiction, museums, and dumplings.

Matas (straight, he/him, 26), a Lithuanian PhD student in synthetic biology, who likes geo-guesser, travel, hanging out with his girlfriend Angel, and eggs benedict.

We're looking for a pro-social, non-smoking flatmate who has their own stuff going on, who'll keep the flat tidy and contribute to the atmosphere of mutual respect for each other's space and privacy. Mostly, everyone's pretty busy day-to-day, but a friendly chat in the evenings, someone who wants to share takeout and a film on Friday nights, would be great.

Ideally, you'll bring or be willing to buy your own furniture (everything in the bedroom, plus the two blue sofas, the coffee table, bookshelves, and one storage unit will go with the departing flatmate). The departing flatmate might be willing to sell some stuff.

We all work around South Kensington, and the flat has a great commute for that. It also benefits from a beautiful communal gardens, and is a 3 minute walk to North End Road, including the Gym Group and Virgin Fitness, numerous international restaurants/groceries (the new Lidl being especially close), charity shops, and the amenities of Fulham Broadway station. The Brompton Cemetery nearby is a good place for a walk.
