Description

Hey future-flatmate!

I'm going to make this a super detailed ad so you have all the info you need.

Deposit is £700, and rent is £1050 per month including all bills and extras, so power, gas, water, council tax, broadband + loo roll, and cleaning products.

ABOUT THE ROOM
The room is a decent sized double (4.5 X 2.6metres + closet space) and comes furnished with a king sized bed (with v comfy Panda memory foam mattress topper) large set of drawers, a large built-in closet with shelf at the top, a little side table thing, a mirror, and black out curtains and a rug. The bed is quite high up so there's a decent amount of space under it for extra storage too, it fits suitcases etc under it..

ABOUT THE FLAT
I've recently renovated, so there's a nice shiny new bathroom, new doors, new radiators, revamped kitchen etc. Still a few little things to do, but 90% there.

The flat is close to central Hackney but it's still really peaceful feeling and is nice and quiet at nights for sleeping as it's a low-traffic street.

Worth noting as you can probably see from the pics the place is already fairly decked out in terms of furniture and decor etc, so it would suit someone who is looking for a ready-made home to move into and doesn't have lots of stuff.

And though there's a reasonable amount of storage space in your new room, there's not a huge amount of storage in the shared areas unfortunately.

ABOUT THE AREA
Well Street shops are a stones throw away which has a Tesco and a post office and a pharmacy and various other small handy shops. A Jolene has just opened up and does the best pastries ever (dangerous!).

It's a short walk to the glorious Victoria Park, as well as a short walk to Mare Street/London Fields etc.

Transport wise it's less than 10 mins walk to Hackney central and Homerton as well as loads of busses.

ABOUT ME
I'm 39 and work in design, originally from New Zealand though have lived here 14 years now so pretty established in London.

I currently WFH most days, this could well change in the future but for now that's the case.

In terms of the "vibe", would be nice to live with someone who's up for having occasional wines and chats when we're both in, and the occasional pub outing (the Kenton pub is the best!) though I'm also admittedly doing my own thing a lot of the time (getting back into my art, or studying/reading, or working on my snack empire :D or at the gym, or out and about with friends etc) I think most Londoners are similar! So someone similar with a good balance would work well :)

I'm pretty open to the kind of person, though all I ask is that you're friendly, and would class yourself as fairly laid back (like me, I'm a Kiwi so comes with the territory 🥝), I also don't think I could live with anyone that has any views that are super opposed to mine (thinks UKIP is not good etc), though being in east London I like to think is fairly safe for this!

Also I'd class myself as "cleaner than average", so I'm also looking for someone who would also describe themselves as naturally clean and tidy, I'm not uptight about it (sometimes on the weekend it ends up slipping a bit!) just by in large it's fairly "spic and span", just nice for us both to have a happy homely environment to come home to 🏠 .

If this all sounds good, let me know your availability and we can do a viewing.

And I'm not going to go so far as to do background checks but if you could include a link to your LinkedIn maybe, if you have one, just so I have peace of mind you're employed and all that.

Really looking forward to meeting you! :)
