Description
We have a very well-located room available in our 3 bedroom flat just off Mare Street/Morning Lane in Hackney and are looking for a new housemate to move in, ideally from Monday 2nd December (i. e., soon!).
Rent is £810 PCM plus approx. £110 for bills each month. Deposit £670. The room is available to sublet for 8 weeks until the end of January, with the potential for a longer let agreement.
The flat is a second floor maisonette and is light, airy and modern throughout. On the lower level, there's a separate kitchen and a large living room and dining space with loads of natural light and a door that opens to a small balcony.
On the upper floor there are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with bath and separate WC. The available bedroom is on the smaller side and really would probably be classed as a single (but fits a double bed). It has a built-in storage cupboard with a rail inside for clothes.
There's a tall white Ikea chest of drawers and small book shelf if you want those to stay for free. Our housemate that is leaving is also selling her bedframe cheap if you wanted to buy this from her. Happy to discuss furniture further ofc!
There's just two of us that will be sharing the flat with you - Monica (30) who works in market research, researching people, countries and culture & Lauren (29) who works in the heritage sector in fundraising.
We have lived in East London for the past 11 years and still love it. We're looking for someone who is laid back and like-minded. We enjoy good food, pints at the pub, gigs, lido/pond swimming, dinner parties and visiting galleries and museums (Photographers' Gallery, Barbican and the National Portrait Gallery are favourites). We also enjoy our downtime at home and sometimes like doing our own thing but are keen to find someone with a similar vibe that wants to mix with the house/join our home and is happy to pitch in and share the cleaning (we don't pay for a cleaner). We're an inclusive household & vegetarian at home (for the most part)!
We'd rather you were female, 25+ and only WFH for a day a week max. to keep the living room as more of a shared space (unfortunately the room is too small to fit a desk comfortably).
No students or couples - sorry!
The pictures are a mix of estate agency photos from when we moved in and our own.
The flat is really well-located and less than a 10 minute walk to Hackney Central and London Fields Overground, 10 minutes to Hackney Downs, 13 mins to Homerton. There's loads of bus routes that can easily take you to Bethnal Green/Dalston way.
The flat is right across the road from a big Tesco and very close to a little Sainsbury’s and Lidl and is near loads of great places for coffee, delicious food and the perfect pint.
If you're interested and think you could be a good fit and these dates work for you, drop us a message and tell us more about yourself, what you do and when you could move in.
