Short term Hackney

Hi there person who is reading this texty text.

To give some context as to why the room is being rented: I'll be off to greener pastures to visit my parents in July, so my room will be available between the 5th and the 25th of July.

The house itself is a three story house which apparently used to be a hospice back in the day as in the entire square of buildings. It comes with a communal garden which we have a key for to use at any time. A beautiful little pond is situated within the garden with two beautiful ducks occupying it during most summers. I bloody love ducks. We have parking and the area is quite sheltered from view of the street, so its quite private and there is very little noise. Its like a little oasis on the border of Hackney and Homerton. It is a five minute walk from Hackney Central station and Homerton station and also ten from Hackney Downs. There is lots of lovely things to do around here, from bars to restaurants to walks in the many parks nearby, Victoria, London fields, Hackney Marshes or the wetlands.

The house has a charming little kitchen and large living room which is very comfortable for chill times furnished with very comfortable seating, a 48 inch tv, ps5 and bluetooth speakers, with access to quite a few streaming services make it perfect chill station for potatoes of the couch. Plus there is a little garden out the back for bbq's and the like.

The bedroom itself is on the 2nd floor. It’d be only yourself up there, with a bathroom just outside the room, which other people can also use (don’t be greedy!), but they share the bathroom on the 1st floor. It comes with a double bed, place for clothes, desk, and bedside table. And a really nice view of the central garden!

It's a very comfortable house and being here almost seven years I really have come to think of it as our home, which I hope you respect during your stay. We have strived to give it that vibe also.

In regard to cleaning, leave the rooms as you found it. We have a rota in which everyone cleans one room per week. It isn't that much work and we expect anyone who shares here to be tidy and not leave a mess for other to clean.

Myself, my name is Marcelo, I am from Brazil, and am going back there for a bit. The other person you will be living with is Neville, from Australia and Helena from Spain. Both lovely chill people.

We are ourselves friends here and the dynamic of the house is quite easy going. We do not care if you identify as a man/woman/they/them. Just no vampires - too much noise at night and we have to put garlic everywhere...

Anyways, let me know if you're in need of a mojo dojo casa house for a few days and we might be able to work something out.

Disclaimer: this is not a party house. It is a home. We work hard and our home is our place to recharge and relax.
If you have a bike, it can be safely stored out the back of the house in the garden where it will be more than safe.
