Double room in middle of Hackney/London Fields !

Hi London! My flatmate of 2 years is moving in with his partner, so I am looking for a flatmate from 1st December onwards (with flexibility both ways).

Some specs on the house: the apartment is in a pretty amazing location; 5 minutes walk from Victoria Park, 7 minutes walk from London Fields tube and Broadway market. We have a shared living/dining/kitchen space with hardwood floors, floor to ceiling windows, a balcony (and all appliances including dishwasher). The bedroom is quite small but fits a double bed, comes with a big closet, and has direct access to the balcony. Carpets were changed just last month.

Rent is £1140 per month excluding bills (usually around 120 a month, including internet and council tax) and you would need to pass all credit/visa/employment checks. Contract is for one year from January 2025.


Some specs on me: I am 28, Dutch and English and run my own climate NGO. I’ve been in London about 2.5 years and previously lived in Oxford, Amsterdam and Seattle. I would be keen on creating a cosy home environment which is comfortable and easy going, where we can have people over for dinner etc; but where we also have our own space. I am very clean and quite tidy. Enjoy deep chats, drinks with friends, running, climbing and politics.

What I would be looking for for: generally looking for someone easy going, social, empathetic, fun to be around, and preferably already settled a bit in London. Similar routines and cleanliness levels obviously also important :-)
