About the room
I've lived in this flat for two years and very sad to leave it but moving out of the country :/
My room, while on the smaller side, has big double doors leading directly to our garden. It's a lovely spot for morning and afternoon sun. Great for having friends over and lovely to get fresh air and lots of natural light. The room itself has a large built in closet with a full length mirror, two racks to hang your clothes as well as shelves! It has a queen size bed and room for a small desk (although I will be taking mine).
About the flat
The flat is a renovated home that was redone recently and is in great condition. It gets great natural light, the kitchen is quite big, and the open concept living room is lovely and cozy. The landlord is great and always quick to come down and sort anything.
The flat is spread across three levels and the other two bedrooms are on the lower level so you do have a good amount of privacy in this room.
About the Neighborhood
The flat is a 5/6 minute walk from the overground. We're on many bus routes including one that stops just outside our front door. It's a well lit street that has a lot of foot traffic so feels safe coming home at night. One Sundays there's a lovely foot market on our street that has some delicious food stalls. There's so much green space! We are walking distance from Millfields, Victoria park, London fields and Hackney downs. We know our neighbors and definitely feel like we are a part of a community here. There's tons of good little spots to go out and listen to music and really good restaurants nearby. Genuinely my favorite neighborhood in london.
About the Flatmates
The other flatmates are two lovely girls. Lily works has an office job working in Film but wfh 2 days a week. She's also a creative and loves music, films, art and is very much an animal lover.
Thea works in hospitality and manages the pub down the road. She's into music, fashion, cooking, good food and is also an animal lover
We love a good night out, having dinners over wine in the flat, watching a film but also everyone is busy and has their own things going on so it's a good mix. Definitely looking for someone to fit into this dynamic and wants to be friends and not just flatmates!
We all pitch in to clean up after ourselves and keep the flat tidy so looking for someone who's the same.
Looking for someone respectful, understanding, sociable and fun!
Also while there no pet in the flat there may be an animal here to stay for a weekend from time to time (not very often).
Price
This room is £1030 a month with water included in the rent. We pay for electric, council tax, wifi and gas which ends up being around £100 pounds a month, give or take, sometimes a bit more in the winter.
I need someone to commit to taking over the rest of the lease from October 1st-January 1st. But honestly if you can move in the last week of September that would be best!
Ideally we also want someone long term who wants to extend to next year, as Lily will be staying in the flat come January.
There's also a £17 admin fee to switch over the contract to your name and a deposit of around £1115.
