Long-term room available in Hackney Central/Homert

We’re looking for a new housemate for a long-term let, as our current housemate is sadly moving on for work and travel.

The house is a 3-bed home in Hackney, perfectly located between Homerton and Hackney Central (8-minute walk) - close to all the East London staples: Chatsworth Road (yes, Castle Cinema), London Fields, Broadway Market and more.

You’ll be living with two women in our early 30s, who are both long-term friends. It’s a calm, spacious, friendly home - not a party house - but we do enjoy socialising and having friends over from time to time for drinks/dinners. We also live with our very affectionate house cat, Topaz.

🛏 The room
- Unfurnished room on the first floor, opposite the living room - Fi is happy to leave the closet though!
- You’ll have the downstairs bathroom/shower to yourself
- Comfortably fits a double bed, desk and other storage as you prefer

The rest of the house (3 floors)
- The other two bedrooms are on the top floor with a shared bathroom
- Spacious shared living room and a well-equipped spacious kitchen
- Small garden/outdoor space - with a new firepit set up!!
- Mixed veggie/meat-eating household (separate chopping boards)

💸 Rent & bills
Rent: £915 pcm
(This may come down slightly — we’re currently disputing a rent increase and will know more in the next couple of weeks.)
Bills: approx £120 pcm
Must be able to pay 1 month rent + deposit (£981) upfront

🧍‍♀️ About us
Arnaz is in the music industry and works in A&R, in the office most days. Farah is in the charity sector and works in a grassroots youth organisation, works from home half the week.

We both grew up in London and care a lot about the home being a safe, respectful, values-aligned space. This is important to us - we’re an anti-racist, LGBTQI+-affirming household, and solidarity with Palestinian liberation matters a lot to us. We’re looking for someone aligned so the house continues to feel easy and supportive for everyone.

- Someone in their 30s
- Clean, considerate, and communicative
- Good vibes, respectful of shared space
- Ideally a cat person (Topaz is extremely social) with no pets
- Looking for a proper home, not just a room
