Me and my partner are moving out of this lovely house after 4 years, and we’re looking for a couple to take over our room.

The landlord is planning to move back in next year, so please be aware that this is a short let until the end of the current tenancy on 31 March 2027.

The room has loads of character, with wooden floors and a large window that lets in plenty of natural light. It’s also surprisingly quiet despite being so close to Mare Street and the Overground. What makes it really special is that you’ll have your own bathroom and a separate studio space, making it feel almost like having your own flat within a shared house.

The house also has a shared living room, a kitchen on the lower ground floor, a little balcony that gets sunshine throughout the day, and a back garden where you can spot birds, cats and the occasional fox from the kitchen windows.

The room comes furnished with a bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe.

You’ll be sharing with Tim and Isabelle (both in their 40s), who have both lived here for a long time, and Cleo, their lovely two year old cat. They’re all friendly, relaxed and easy to live with. It’s a home that suits people who are considerate, respectful and enjoy a chilled household.

Rent is £1,450 per month, all bills included. For the size of the space, the private bathroom and the location, it’s a great deal. A single person would also be considered, with a small reduction in rent.

We’re asking for an £800 deposit to secure the room for the full remaining tenancy, until 31 March 2027.
