Hi everyone,

Our unique warehouse flat is located behind a secure gated area within the heart of Hackney.

We are conveniently located next to Hackney downs station and a few minutes walk from Hackney Central, as well as numerous bus routes into town - you couldn’t be better connected to explore the city as well as East London's key hotspots.

The flat is also two seconds to Hackney Downs station (easy access to Liverpool St, Tottenham Hale and the Stansted Express), and a 3 minute walk to Hackney Central station which links to the Victoria Line at Highbury. 30-35 minutes to central London.

If you’re looking for more of a relaxing/mooching daytime vibe, we are close to lots of large parks, cafes/restaurants and markets for a more chilled experience.

The local area is really vibrant with cafes, bars, good coffee, craft beer shops, and take aways, as well as cinemas, bars and more restaurants than you can imagine just on the doorstep.

Markets are close by and open a the weekends, and we are right by 3 very large supermarkets, if eating out isn’t your vibe.
As mentioned, you couldn’t be better connected, with two train stations within minutes walk, and buses that run all night long that go in all the directions of London!

The space
Originally a school in the 1890s, and converted to living accommodation some 30 years back, our space is full of vintage charm.

The Apartment is freshly renovated and has been sympathetically restored, blending its original features with a modern update.
The flat has exposed brickwork, plaster walls, and a “poppy” colour pallet, as well as original unique parquet floors throughout the property.

The bedroom is very large a double by London standards, with exposed brickwork, and modern decor, as well as a desk area and A huge open planned wardrobe area with drawers for ample storage and those who have a lot of “stuff”

If you are looking at this flat though, this isn't about bedroom so much, believe me - you won't want to spend your time holed up in your room. It really is a beautiful space! The house has an abundance of natural light, and really does need to be seen to fully appreciate the size and unique space

The apartment is split over two floors - (although currently upstairs is not accessible, as I am using this as a private area, as i have a lot of stuff and work spread out everywhere! This will change at some point though!)
This doesn’t stop you enjoying the unusual full glass roof, and 20 ft plus high ceilings, and the main area (which is the heart of the home) is soaked with the natural light from the roof above.

The downstairs area is large open plan living, with the kitchen opening on from it - mad men style!

The kitchen is extremely spacious, with all the modcons - 2 ovens, induction hob, hot water tap (for quick cups of tea!) as well as a breakfast bar.
Perfect for those that love to cook, and nice to look at for those that don’t!

Our bathroom is also very unique and freshly converted (proudly built by me!) I can safely say that you won’t find another quite like it!
This is shared with the rest of the house.

I’m the landlady, I live in the flat and there are two other bedrooms. my bedroom is on the top floor, separate from the other two rooms.

We also have our own private garden/patio area (it's big by London standards, but its also undergoing a large transformation - so currently not usable - but soon!)

Unfortunately, we cannot rent to students or anyone claiming DSS. I own the flat, so there is a resident landlady... as such, we treat the house like a home, so we're looking for someone who will treat it like theirs. We don't do cleaning rotas etc, but we do want someone clean and tidy and at least a little bit house proud.
Im not wanting to clean up after people - i had the place on airbnb, and had to do a lot of this - which is what i'm keen to get away from!

I don't want a massive party house - so i'm looking for someone who wants a place to call home, rather than as a party/crash pad. That said, we're absolutely not against socialising!!
