The room is bigger than average and comes fully furnished with ample storage incl. double wardrobe, chest of drawers and double bed. You would have pretty much sole use of the main bathroom as the other bedroom has an en suite. There’s also a large open plan kitchen/living room and access to a private garden, with secure bike storage alongside the building. There are nine other flats in the building and everyone is friendly.
If you’re not familiar with the area, Lower Clapton is scattered with loads of great cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants, and places to exercise. The house is a stone’s throw from numerous parks and the River Lea, and London Fields, Dalston, Stoke Newington, Shoreditch, Hackney Wick and Stratford are all within easy reach. You have transport links in abundance, with numerous bus routes operating almost from the doorstep and you’re a ten minute walk to Hackney Central, Hackney Downs and Clapton stations. Oh and there is a fab local store and a Tesco less than a minute away!
You’d be living with me, Kate, hi! I’m 40 and work as a digital delivery manager, mostly from home. My main passion is surfing and I also coach on the side which means I tend to travel/work away quite frequently. When I’m in London, I usually have quite an active social life so it’s nice to be able to chill when I’m in the house.
I’m looking for an easy going, tidy housemate who will take care of the space. Someone to enjoy the flat and maybe the surrounding area with when schedules allow would be a bonus! No couples please and no-one looking for a party house…also no smoking/vaping in the house.
Rent is £1,200 pcm plus bills (council tax - band D, utilities, cleaner every fortnight etc.) which come to around £220 each pcm. I usually do this on an all inclusive pcm basis, updating if there are any changes to bills. The deposit is £1,384. It’s my flat so you wouldn’t be dealing with any agencies but I do request reference checks.
The room is available from the beginning of November but could flex later if needed. Also happy to discuss variations on the above (e. g. short term lets); the priority is to find the right person.
