It is a 2-bedroom apartment, to which tenants have full and exclusive access, apart from the second bedroom, reserved for my own storage.

Looking for: Single or couple to rent for 6 months or more, while I am abroad for work/travel. Apartment would suit a professional couple, with good access to Mayfair/Green Park and The City. Imperial College and The Royal College of Music are not far away. You will have exclusive access to the whole apartment (apart from the second bedroom). 

Apartment: Extending across the entire top floor, this 700ft (approx.), split-level apartment is self-contained with views over Kensington, towards Holland Park. From the front door (a security door) a private staircase, with a coat-rack and shoe area, leads up to the landing, featuring an electric-opening skylight allowing for extensive daylight and fresh-air.

Off this is the reception room/diner, bathroom, bedrooms and the separate kitchen/diner, plus a walk-in cupboard for storage. The apartment, recently re-decorated, has a light and airy 'beach-house' aspect, furnished with classic vintage furniture some original paintings, along with a  wide library of specialist books.

The local area is safe, peaceful and full of character, with the impressive listed building of the Victoria and Albert Museum repository visible from the kitchen window, which you may recognise from a number of films, such as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

The newly renovated 'Olympia' recreation estate is across the road, featuring extensive restaurants, roof-top bars, cinemas, high-end retail and boutiques as well as London's largest exhibition complex. This newly opened venue is set to be London's a highlight destination venue attracting visitors internationally, with its two newly built five-star hotels.

Bedroom: Situated at the rear of the building, away from the street affording a peaceful night's sleep. Total privacy from any overlooking neighbours, and with a custom window decal for extra privacy.  Double Bed with  John Lewis toppers, (removable if you wish).  Built-in fitted double door wardrobe with drawers and two hanging and shoe compartments. Standing shelf (Conran), with storage boxes. Three floating shelves, for personal items. Hair drier.

Santander / Lyme / Forest bicycles - Kensington (Olympia) station, Maclise / Russell Rd (3 mins).

Airport: T1-5 check-in at Heathrow Airport can be reached in 20 minutes by taxi on a clear road

Bars and Restaurants:  Well-known Gastropubs: The Havelock Tavern / The Bird In the Hand / The Queen's Head (Brook Green) are 2 mins walk down the road.   Sports Bar: Latimers sports pub with an excellent Thai Restaurant, 5 min walk on Hammersmith Rd.  Classic Traditional: The well-known Scarsdale Tavern on Edwards Square, and The Elephant and Castle on Holland St are an easy stroll away. The Windsor Castle on Kensington Church St, is also a classic.

Dining: The original Alounak (Russell Gardens) caters to the Persian community in Kensington, and is good. The Popeseye Steakhouse (Blythe Road) is close by and does a delicious steak frites. The Japan House and The Ivy are both on Kensington High St; favourites of mine for cocktails and dinner. Marco Pierre White's Belvedere is a short walk away in Holland Park and is recommended. There is also close by the more affordable Asian noodle bar The Hare and the Tortoise.

Shops and Amenities: Main large supermarkets: Waitrose (Kensington) / Tesco (Brook Green) are within short and easy walking distance. Other grocers: Tesco local Amazon Fresh / The Japan House / Whole Foods are on Kensington High St. WESTFIELD shopping centre is a 15 minute walk / 2 minute Overground train ride.

Parks & Recreation: Brook Green is around the corner, with its public tennis courtsPure Gym, Brook Green, 7 mins walk Holland Park, 7 mins walk, with its lovely Japanese Garden and park cafe  Hyde Park / Kensington Palace Gardens is a 10-12 mins walk. The Design Museum 10 mins walk with great coffee shops, such as Gails, nearby. The Leighton House Museum is just over the footbridge is fascinating. Notting Hill Gate and Portobello Market are a short bus ride up the road.

Medical: Two GP surgeries, Masbro Road Health Centre, and The Bush Doctors, are close by within walking distance and may take on temporary residents. Charing Cross Hospital is one of the four leading London hospitals, and has a first-class Accident and Emergency unit, and is close by just off Hammersmith Broadway. 

Additional items you may use: Tennis racket with new tennis balls. Brook Green (5 mins walk) has a number of public tennis courts. Golf Clubs. A set of golf clubs, which used al life, is available in the flat. Dukes Meadows golf course and driving range is a 10 mins drive / Uber. Guitar. I can leave this out if you want to use it. Surfboard: A 6'6'', 'Down The Line', (Hayle, Cornwall) shortboard, is available on request. 

Potential Disturbances: Traffic: Blythe Road nearby can be busy during the day with traffic, but being on the top floor we are largely undisturbed by this. Neighbours: All the residents in the house long term occupants, professionals who are out much of the day, there are no units.  There is a family living in the garden flat downstairs, and you may sometimes hear them after school at the back, in their garden. The house is peaceful, with no music audible, and no parties. The neighbours at no.39 have a small dog , which you may hear from time to time. Aircraft: We are not on the Heathrow flight path, so airplanes are not an issue. Helicopters from the London Heliport in Battersea do fly over Kensington on their main route north however.
