Description
We’re looking for a new housemate to join our friendly, sociable household from 23rd November, as our lovely housemate is moving in with her boyfriend.
We have a double room available and are looking for someone aged 28–40 who is easy-going, considerate and enjoys being part of a sociable house share. :)
*** We are tenants looking for a friendly housemate, not a landlord just wanting to fill the room, so if you think this is the place for you, please drop us a message and tell us about yourself (how old you are, what you do for work, how you like to spend your spare time, music you like ….anything you can think of and best describes you). We will likely be organising viewings for the week of 2nd November (TBC), so if we think you are suitable, we will message to arrange the viewing***
🛏️ The double room is on the ground floor, just off the living room, with one door leading to the hallway and another to the living room.
It doesn’t have a window that opens directly to the outside, but don’t let this put you off! One of the doors is a full-glass fire door, which lets in plenty of natural light from the windows right next to it. There are also full-length curtains to give you privacy.
The room is fully furnished and comes with:
- A double bed
- A large wardrobe
- A chest of drawers
- A handy shelving unit that opens out into a desk when needed
🏡 A bit about the house
Our home has:
- Five bedrooms
- A large bathroom upstairs and an extra WC downstairs
- A combined kitchen and living room
- A huge loft space for additional storage
- A small but lovely backyard, perfect for outdoor drinks and BBQs
All the usual mod cons are included:
- Central heating
- Two fridge-freezers
- Dishwasher (yay!)
- Washing machine and tumble dryer
- Unlimited broadband and Wi-Fi
- A communal Netflix account
- A weekly cleaner
- And, of course, amazing housemates!
Residential parking permits can be purchased from the council for either six or twelve months at a fixed fee. (Check the H&F Council website for prices.)
📍 The location
We’re in Zone 2 (only one stop away from Zone 1), conveniently located close to local amenities and transport:
- Barons Court station: 10-minute walk (Piccadilly and District lines)
- Hammersmith station: 12-minute walk (Circle, District, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines)
- Supermarkets: Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose right around the corner
- Pubs: Three nearby (VERY important!)
- The Thames: Less than a 10-minute walk away. We love the occasional stroll along the river together. :)
🍻 A bit about us
We’re a great mix of one girl and three guys, all in our early 30s. We’re young professionals who generally work office hours, sometimes partly from home, so we’d ideally prefer someone with similar working hours.
We’re a sociable bunch and love going out together after work or at weekends, but we also have our own friends and social lives.
We enjoy:
- A drink (or two… or three) at a nice pub
- Go on skiing or hiking trips
- Parties and festivals
- A good lazy Sunday in the living room watching films
- Hanging out together whenever we can
Our house has a really nice, considerate but lively atmosphere. We’d love to find someone friendly and easy-going who genuinely wants to become part of it, rather than just rent a room.
💷 The fine details
Rent: £850pcm, including all bills and a cleaner once a week
Available from: 23rd November
Deposit: One month’s rent, payable to secure the room
First month’s rent: Payable before moving in
Please note: No couples, students, pets or short stays. We’re looking for a long-term housemate.
Due to the high number of messages we receive, we’ll only be able to reply to people we think sound like they’d be a good fit for the house.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you! :)
