Description

I am a painter and am sharing a work-and-live studio house with a violin player, and a literature MA graduate and we are working in different fields, including painting, music, education, participatory art, interdisciplinary art. One of the work-and-live art studios in our house has become available and we would prefer to rent to another girl for gender balance. The room is very large, has a double bed and is fully equipped for living in as well as for working on painting, photography or music projects, as you prefer. We also have a project-space room which can be shared if needed, or can be used for collaborative art projects part of the time. This sublet could be a collaborative artistic residency ideally.
If you wish, you can also use your listed room as a work-and-live art studio, we would love to have other artists creating in the house and sharing ideas, but we also welcome other types of creatives, working in various fields (including technology or science), of course.
We are sociable and easy-going and enjoy listening to music, having chats about art and having dinners together when we have spare time. We believe that a laid back, familiar environment is best for creation and, while respectful of other housemates’ work routine and space, we encourage a sociable environment in this creative house. On the other hand, if you are naturally introverted and prefer to have your own space, we will definitely respect that and we would enjoy your presence just as much, of course. If at certain times you are very busy with work, we will definitely respect your routine, and we expect the same from the new housemates. In other words, being sensitive to each other’s needs and specific lifestyles would be ideal in this house ;)

The rent for the double room is 650£/month excluding expenses, and the deposit is £650. The expenses are variable depending on the bills, but should be around 80£/month usually. The room is available either for a short term sublet of minimum one month or for long-term renting.
The month’s rent and the deposit should be paid in advance. At the moment, as seen in the images, the room is fully furnished with a double bed, a cupboard, a desk etc. but you are welcome to change that if you wish.
There is a cozy, inspiring garden that we share and hang out in, and the rooms are very bright most of the day. (The last pictures in the post, starting with the ones of the garden, show the shared spaces, the shared garden and living room)
The house is located in Harringay Green Lanes, it is actually minutes away from locations with beautiful live music, and is also close to several cosy cafes as well as plenty of restaurants and a large shopping centre in its vicinity. There is a short walking distance to the Harringay Green Lanes overground station and to the Turnpike Lane tube station, which has quick connections to central London on the Piccadilly line.
(Unfortunately, no pets are allowed, Universal Credit is not accepted for this ad, and we can’t accept other couples or anyone doing office work from home, as we would like an artistic rather than an office vibe in the house)
I'm trying my best to answer the messages received but I have close deadlines for commissioned art projects at the moment, apologies for not managing to get back to all of them.
