This is my flat - it's my first purchase. I've had it for two years, but lived in the area for about 7 years. Also living in the flat is Lola my fifteen year old cat. I've had her for all of those 15 years! She's a madam.
On a normal night you'll find me watching Peep Show again, scrolling on tiktok or, if I'm lucky, at rehearsal. I'm more of a night-in than a night out person. I work from home, so tend to spend a lot of time here and like to keep a cool aesthetic going. I'm very chill - whatever you do in/with your room is your business, just be respectful as I'm going to have to turn that second bedroom into a walk-in wardrobe one day.
My current flatmate is moving to be closer to her new job so I’m hoping to have someone moved in by early October but I think we’re flexible if you wanted to move in sooner!
The flat is bright and super-well insulated with triple glazed windows (we rarely have to put the heating on). It was finished being built in Feb 2022. The flat has an open-plan living room and kitchen, with one main bathroom and an ensuite bathroom to the main bedroom. There's also a large storage cupboard in the hall which houses our washer-dryer. We've got all the mod-cons, internet, apple tv, google home, smart bulbs. The balcony faces east and looks out over the Green Lanes and Alexandra Palace.
Yours is the second bedroom - it’s a decent sized double bedroom, with tonnes of light! Comes full furnished furnished (chest of drawers, drawer tower, clothes rail, shelves and bed) and (though not technically an ensuite) a full bathroom to yourself as I have my own en-suite.
Cleaners come and do the whole flat every two weeks which I’ve included in the rent. There's council tax (band D), internet, water and heat/power to cover with the bills which comes to around £130-250/calendar month depending on the season (I wish it were less, but cozzie-livs).
For a flatmate, I'm not looking for a new bestie. We don't have to hang-out. But it would be lovely if we could send each other tiktoks or reels about frogs or whatever the latest meme is every other week. Also open to girlies who just want to rot in their room for weeks on end. It's all good. Unless you're a student in which case you'll need to prove you've got a rich family who'll bankroll your rent. 😂
I'm flexible with moving-in/length of stay/etc. because it's literally just me! No agency, no landlord with 12 other gutted-out properties. Just your live-in, diet-coke addicted landlady biding her time until she becomes the rich aunt of the family. 💅🏻
