Description
Hello one, hello all! Here we have a lovely sunny flat in cool Homerton, in search of another housemate or a couple to fill the remaining room and complete this as a lovely little human (and sometimes cat) community.
“The nicest flat I’ve seen in the area” – broadband installer
If you are a warm, neurodiverse-friendly person who wants to create a social, family-feel, caring home, please read on!
The flat: very front of the estate so excellent views over a park and trees. Being transformed into a “Boho chic” jewel one might say [plants, guitars on walls, record player, nice prints].
The room: Bedroom 2 – £705, looks over the lovely park. Choice of wardrobes, large storage currently in the room (to the right of the photo). Marked as room 2 in floorplan
+ £160 for couple occupation
Both figures are before bills
Me: Solar and wind farm performance engineer. I love cooking, playing guitar, going on hikes, and most importantly, having good conversations about culture/science. Mildly neurodiverse, or to use the clinical term, neurospicy. I speak French and am learning Spanish
Other lodger: my partner, Phoebe – lovely, warm and kind barista/astrophysics enthusiast
What we’d hope for in you:
Warm kind person/people
Want to live in a true home where you belong and look forward to returning to each day, to share meals/chat in the sitting room (but also have your own space whenever you want it!)
Past proven record of home tidiness and cleanliness. We keep the house quite tidy, and clean after ourselves straight away, except on the very odd occasion. Had some issues with this in the past so this is quite important!
Have friends you’d often like to bring around
An extrovert would be ideal to bring dat energy
Environmentally conscious/considerate about sorting recycling correctly
Ideally work away from home a few days per week
LGBTQ+ people welcome
If you’re not veggie/vegan, no worries, but being flexi would be handy to avoid too much meat in the house 😊
Bills: Separate from rent for “wholesomeness”: so that there’s an incentive to be mindful with the use of electricity/water/gas for environmental reasons. I initially set the rent at what I felt was a fair amount including bills, and have reduced by estimated monthly bill costs. This is £150 per person/month, although this will reduce pp if a couple occupies. Council tax band: C
So…
If all of this sounds good to you, drop me a message telling me a bit about yourself/your ideal house arrangements/why you’d like to help build this magnificent little community
Muchas gracias
