Sociable House in Homerton/Hackney

Hi potential new housemate! One of our lovely housemates is moving out, so we have an amazing room available on our house just off Chatsworth Road from 19th March.

It's really important to us that our house is a friendly and sociable home, so if that sounds like what you're looking for - please keep reading!

Firstly, logistics….

The Room (£1075 per month)
Bright and spacious double bedroom with a private en-suite and large windows with lots of natural light. The room comes unfurnished but includes built-in wardrobes for plenty of storage. Current furniture can be purchased if of interest.

🏡The house: The house is a new-build and we’re also really lucky to have a large garden. Landlord is great as well, very responsive

The house is over three floors, with the kitchen/lounge/garden on the ground floor. The is one flight of stairs to the bedroom. In terms of safety the area is well-lit and the house is also in a gated mews so really secure.

The move in date is 19th March - you can move in any day after this that suits you as long as you’re on the contract and paying rent from the 19th. £1,100 ish deposit and reference checks are required to move in. Bills come to approx £110ish a month

The current contract runs until March 2027, but it’s a one month rolling contract with a professional landlord who is more than happy for you to change the name on the tenancy half way through the term

✨Now importantly... THE FUN STUFF!

You'll be living with...

Freddie (he/him): 30 year old (gay male) Commercial Strategy Manager. Loves a good gig. Always up for a new experience and usually found at the theatre, queer venues or ticking an obscure country off the travel list, ideally with a bit of skiing.

Tanya (she/her): 35 year old (queer female) Videographer, runs own business. Passions are music, skiing and being creative. Enjoys yoga, running, dancing and football (usually injured!..but is also part of a local team) and loves an adventure.

Greg (He/Him) (not in the photo above): 33 year old (gay male) Operations Lead. Open-minded, somewhat introverted but sociable pop music nerd, and veteran Gaga super fan. Loves long walks, art galleries, history, talking politics, and the occasional queer event or techno night. (MBTI: INFP | Astro: Aries Sun, Capricorn Moon, Leo Rising)

We all met on Spareroom but have become fab friends, regularly hang out, have a giggle and go to festivals together.

About the area: The house is less than a five min walk to Homerton station overground. Loads of supermarkets in walking distance: co-op, fancy spar, Tesco and Lidl. Énergie fitness gym is also less than a ten minute walk away. There’s plenty of night buses that run near us so perfect for any late nights. Hackney is full of nightlife, amazing bars and restaurants, so you’ll never struggle to find somewhere fun to go. Our street even has a cute market on Sundays! 10 min walk to Milifields park and 20 mins walk to Viccy park. We’re also a one minute walk away from Castle Cinema which has £6 film nights on Mondays.

You:
- Ideally in your late 20s/30s/young professional
- You want a sociable home and are happy to have the odd party on weekends, barbecue, dinner party, pub visits, film nights etc and generally want to be good friends with your housemates
- Clean folks very welcome
- Must be LGBTQ+ friendly
- No couples or pets as it’s in the contract, sorry!
