Description

We’re looking for a new housemate to join our lovely, creative and health-conscious home in Honor Oak Park (SE23), just a three-minute walk from the station.

If you’re a friendly, full-time working professional aged 21 or over who values a relaxed, balanced lifestyle and a peaceful home, you might fit right in. We would prefer another female housemate to help maintain a balanced and harmonious household dynamic however also welcome male housemates. The room has become available as our current housemate moved in with her partner.

We’re arranging viewings now and hoping to confirm our new housemate soon.

💬 BEFORE YOU GET IN TOUCH

Please read the description below before sending a message.
When you reach out, tell us a bit about yourself: your age, work, interests, and what you’re looking for in a home.
We aim to respond promptly to everyone. Feel free to share this advert with friends who might be interested.

🧘‍♀️ ABOUT YOU

We’re creating a home, not just a house-share, and we’d love to live with someone who’s:

• 21 or older, a single professional with stable full-time work or full-time student (ideally not working from home)
• Looking for a peaceful, friendly, and tidy home
• Appreciates a calm atmosphere after 11pm and doesn’t start work before 7am
• Respectful, easy-going, and proactive about keeping the house clean and cosy
• Interested in healthy and creative living such as yoga, cycling, art, film, music, dance or culture, preferred but not essential :)
• Has a good sense of humour and open communication
• No couples or pets please

If you cycle or drive, there’s a big garden with a shed for bike storage and free parking on the street.

🏡 ABOUT THE ROOM

• Rent: £800 per month
• Deposit: £800
• Bills: £200 per month (includes all utilities: gas, electricity, water, council tax, broadband, TV licence, garden waste, cleaner, and some shared essentials)
• Move-in date: as soon as possible
• Minimum stay: six months (we’re looking for someone long-term)
• Notice period: one month

The double room is approximately 15.7 square metres (171 square feet) and faces the garden, with lovely afternoon sunlight.

There is currently no bed in the room, as some people prefer to bring their own, but we’re happy to purchase a new bed frame if that would make a difference for you.

Furniture includes a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bookshelf, lamps, mirrors, and rug. Items can be removed if not needed. The room has light wooden floors, blinds, curtains and a peaceful view of the garden. The house is on a quiet street, though you can hear trains as the garden faces the line.

Please see attached photos of the room, house and garden.

👩‍🎨 ABOUT US

You’ll be sharing with two friendly, creative professionals who enjoy a mix of sociable evenings and quiet downtime. There will be three of us in total:
•Seth works as a wellbeing events organiser, musician and DJ.
•Ziggy manages bike shops and loves the outdoors.
•And then there’s you. 😊

We’re social and relaxed but also value personal space, a tidy home and peaceful vibes.

🏠 ABOUT THE HOUSE 🌿

• The house is on a quiet residential street, just three minutes from Honor Oak Park Station and close to Crofton Park too.
• It has a fully equipped kitchen-diner which is our main hangout space.
• There’s no living room, but we make the most of our big garden and dining area.
• The garden is large, with hammocks, a fire pit, table and chairs, and a shed for storage.
• We have a cleaner every two weeks for communal areas, a charcoal-filtered drinking water system, a bathroom with a bath and shower plus an extra toilet.
• Laundry drying racks are available upstairs or in the garden on sunny days.

🌳 LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS

Honor Oak Park is a lovely, leafy area with fantastic transport links.
It’s just a three-minute walk to the station with the Overground and trains to London Bridge, and easy access to Canada Water, Brockley, Peckham, Dulwich, Catford and Lewisham.

Nearby you’ll find Sainsbury’s Local, coffee shops, a pizzeria, tapas bar, bakery, wellness rooms and a cycle shop.
The area is surrounded by beautiful green spaces including One Tree Hill, Blythe Hill Fields, Peckham Rye and Dulwich Park.
Free parking is available on the street.

🧾 REQUIREMENTS

• Before moving in, we’ll need proof of full-time employment or full time student (for example a job confirmation letter), ID (passport or driving licence), and proof of current address (such as a utility bill).

If this sounds like your kind of home, we’d love to hear from you.

Please message with a short introduction about yourself, and we’ll be in touch to arrange a viewing.
