Lovely double room in a friendly, international house in Islington

I’m sadly leaving my lovely room as I’m moving back to Spain for a while, so I’m looking for someone to take over from me. I’m genuinely very sad to leave as I’ve really enjoyed living here and the house has become a bit of a London family for me.

The room is a furnished double room on the ground floor, with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It’s not a huge room, but it’s cosy and has a decent amount of storage.

The house is in a great location, just off Caledonian Road. Caledonian Road Tube is literally a 3-minute walk away (Piccadilly Line), and Caledonian Road & Barnsbury Overground is around 12 minutes away. King’s Cross, Angel and Camden are all around a 25-minute walk, and Highbury, Holloway Road and Finsbury Park are also very close. There are loads of supermarkets nearby too (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Co-op, Nisa, Morrisons and Waitrose…)

The house has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in total, as one of the bedrooms has its own ensuite. You would be sharing the main bathroom with two girls only. There’s a big shared living room, dining area and kitchen, plus a nice outdoor patio that gets the afternoon sun. We also have a bike rack, washing machine, gas hob, electric oven, superfast broadband and a cleaner every two weeks.

Everyone in the house is friendly and we’re a really international mix of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. We’re all busy professionals with our own lives, so everyone has their own space and schedule, but it’s also a social and friendly home where people chat. It’s a very open-minded, LGBTQ+ and vegetarian-friendly house.

Rent is £790.90 per month, plus approximately £90–£120 per person for bills, including council tax, broadband, TV licence, gas/electricity, water and the cleaner. Bills can vary a little depending on the time of year.

The contract runs from the 2nd of each month, and I’ll be moving out on 1st December. I’m planning to do viewings until 21st October, and ideally I’d love to find someone by the end of this month.

* Some of the furniture is mine rather than the house’s. If you’d like to keep it, I’m happy to sell it; otherwise, I’ll leave the original furniture provided by the house.
