En-suite double room available

After 7 lovely years, I am moving out of this home and we are now looking for the right person to move in and make it their own.

The room is an en-suite double room in a spacious flat, located on the top floor of the building, so there is nobody living above. The flat has a bright open-plan living room and kitchen, a balcony, and space to store a bike. It is around 7 minutes’ walk from Elephant & Castle station and 10 minutes from Kennington station.

The neighbours are all lovely and friendly, so there is a really nice sense of community with no drama, and we would love to keep it that way. It is a party-free home, although of course open to the occasional special gathering or celebration.

I am leaving the apartment, but my ex-partner and very good friend Will will be staying. Will is 42, gay, works as a hairstylist, looks after himself, trains a lot and enjoys travelling. He usually works long hours and is off on Mondays, Thursdays and every second Sunday, so someone with a hybrid schedule could really enjoy having the place to themselves on those days.

The flat has been pet-friendly in the past, as we used to share the home with a beautiful English bulldog who sadly passed away last year. We would be open to a small dog or cat, as long as they are well behaved, but this would need to be confirmed with the landlord first.

We are looking for someone tidy, respectful, easy-going and sociable. Someone who wants to treat the flat as a home, not just a room, and who will appreciate the calm, friendly and homely energy of the place. Will gets on well with both straight and gay people, so the most important thing is finding someone kind, respectful, relaxed and easy to live with.
