5-10 minutes walk away
Description
My lovely housemates are moving on because they have managed to jump onto the property ladder (yay them!) so I have a room available in a beautiful house between Lewisham and Ladywell.
Well connected. 5 minute walk to Lewisham DLR and train stations. 10 minute walk into Ladywell. 10-20 minutes via train into central London.
Lots of cafes, pubs, bars, gyms and shops within a short walking distance (5-10 minutes depending on your speed). Hilly fields is just a 10-15 minute walk away and lovely in the summer for picky bits and wine.
Room is small and partially furninshed (wardrobe is included, need to purchase your own bed/dressing table)
Room is a decent size and partially furnished (big mirror wardrobe and small storage cupboards included, you need to purchase your own bed and desk if you don’t want to sleep on the floor). Small bathroom is next door which is basically your own en-suite (shower is shared but im very respectful about times).
My other house mate is also moving out soon so there is a chance to move up to the bigger room with first refusal if that is something you want (and if you see this room being advertised again you know why!)
Rent is £890 plus bills which are £140.
Beautiful large, airy living room/dining room and kitchen with island. Garden is a great size and often used in the summer for drinks/BBQs.
Looking for social housemates who are looking to hangout, get pizza, go to the pub/cinema/museum/board game nights and just be friends. I love hosting dinner parties (always with plenty of notice and you’re always invited) and regular get togethers. Would love to live with people who are into being social and having friends over (your pals are always welcome!) whether for dinner, drinks, the occasional big night out, or just a cuppa. I am also very respectful so I never bring people back without clearing it and I never have people over for afters (unless you wanted to too). Friends and family occaisonally stay over and sleep on the sofa bed (always with notice) and yours are welcome to as well! I love how this house feels like a warm and welcoming home and is always a nice spot for people (or just us) to kick back and relax and have some fun. Sometimes I work long shifts that can be quite intense and draining so I love being able to come back to my home and know that everything is chill, easy and supportive and we can either blow off steam and vent together about our lives or I can just turn into a duvet burrito and watch Bob’s Burgers.
LGBTQ+ friendly (duh)
About me:
I am a 31 year old journalist, I have lived in London on and off for about 12 years (I have also lived in Barcelona and NYC) and in this house for two years. I run pub quizzes in my spare time (you’re always invited as well but I never give away the answers ;)). I love nights in with a take away and TV as much as I love a chill night at the pub with a bottle of wine and a deck of cards. I love cooking and hosting people. I love reading, board games, cross stitch, Shrewsbury Town FC, Beyonce, gigs, theatre, museums, days out, festivals, travelling, chatting nonsense in the garden over a few beers, BBQs, picnics and meeting people.
I want this house to feel like a welcoming home for everyone and I want my new housies to be friends as well as respected housemates who are open to mature communication if there is any issues so we can all live together happily.
