Description
Hello, looking for a new flatmate to live with me and my cat Plum. Lovely 2 bed flat in Lewisham, with garden.
House Description: The flat is on a quiet road between New Cross, Deptford and Lewisham. 5 minute walk to St Johns Station, 10 minute walk to Lewisham station plus bus options. Close to Hilly Fields Park. The room is large, with a bay window at the front of the house. It comes partly furnished, king size bed, headboard and mattress and two wardrobes (if you want them, you can replace if you prefer). Newly painted and well kept. The living room and kitchen is open plan with a door into the garden, which is mainly concrete and decking. The garden is on 3 levels. We have friendly neighbours and are apart of the street group chat.
Tenancy : Rental contract is for one year, with the option to extend. Obviously with the new renters laws this will go to a rolling contract. We have a landlord and letting agents (Foxtons).
Benefits + references : Agency will ask for a reference and proof of income (pay slips or tax return). Benefits are accepted, but you might need a guarantor or proof of savings for referencing.
About me: You will be sharing with myself (28, queer trans masc they/he) and Plum (shorthaired black cat). I have been living here with my friend for 4 years, she is now engaged and moving in with her partner so looking for a new housemate. I am self employed so in and out of the house all day between clients. I am autistic/adhd and prioritise a calm and tidy home but also enjoy friends coming over sometimes. Two people can legally live here, so no couples officially, but happy for partners to visit. Drop me a message if this sounds good.
Access info : The flat is a basement flat with a garden. There are 10 narrow metal stairs going down to the front door, and one step up to the front door. The front door requires keys. There is a narrow hallway leading to the bedroom and the lounge and a combined lounge/kitchen. The door to the garden is a heavy bifold that requires a bit of effort to pull. There are 10 stairs going up into the garden and it is a mix of concrete and wood decking. The bathroom is up 5 steps from the bedroom and lounge. The bathroom has a bathtub shower. Inside the property there are standard size fire doors, which can be heavy to open.
This home is neurodivergent friendly. We have a shorthaired cat called Plum, she doesn’t get on with other cats or dogs, she is very calm and friendly with humans. There are railings outside the house for bikes. There is on street parking, but you will need a local parking permit.
