Description

My current flatmate is exiting our tenancy on 16th June and I'm looking to replace him - there will be no minimum term with the renters rights bill having been introduced but I would prefer somebody long term as I like a settled environment.

The room is a double, fully furnished, with an ensuite (shower). There is huge amounts of storage, a divan bed and floor to ceiling integrated wardrobes. There is (limited) storage available elsewhere in the flat too. The apartment is fully furnished however furniture has been added which I can point out during viewings (to show what would stay/go).

The apartment is in a build to rent development with multiple communal spaces, roof terraces, a gym, pilates studio and library. There is secure parcel storage, bike storage and 24/7 concierge. You can see all the communal spaces on their website ‘Bale and Anchor’ or Instagram.

The rental price includes access to all facilities (apart from two private dining spaces which are paid hire) and broadband is included in the rent price. We are council tax band C, £83.50 EACH a month. The utility bills are done via HomeBox (fixed, I have no control over this) and are currently £155 total or £77.50 EACH a month. There is parking available on site for an additional fee.

There is a Tesco superstore next door to the apartment, and Lewisham shopping centre also has many more shops (TKMAXX, H&M, M&S, Boots, Waterstones). The flat is less than a 5 minute walk from Lewisham station (National Rail and DLR) meaning you can be at London Bridge in 8 minutes via train, or Canary Wharf via DLR in 15.

I work Monday-Friday as a Nurse and I would ideally prefer somebody who has a similar work pattern or works a hybrid role. There are WFH spaces within the building that can be utilised as opposed to having an office space in the living room. I like a clean living space and it’s really important to me that whoever takes over the tenancy is able to respect the space and take on an equal amount of responsibility in keeping the apartment clean. I’m easy to get along with, respectful, considerate, and value a calm, comfortable place to come home to. On the weekends and evenings I go to pilates, have drinks with friends or dinners out, nothing crazy at home. It would be nice to have someone with similar interests but this isn’t essential!

There are options to either pay a refundable deposit or pay a one time fee (deposit free with flat fair) the building will be able to give more information on application. Any questions feel free to message!
