Description
Hello,
We are looking for a lodger for our spare room from August, although we’re flexible re moving in date as we’d rather find the right person. The room is currently unfurnished, though we are able to provide basics such as wardrobe, bed base, desk etc if required.
We started renting in 2016 and have enjoyed living with people. Currently, we’re living with Jess (from Belfast) and Ines (from Spain). They’ve been with us for 7 and 2 years respectively. We’re probably all a bit on the introverted side. That said, we’re not anti-social and enjoy each other’s company. Jess is a therapist, Ines is in HR, Kris is a photographer and I'm an artist.
As Kris and I are home in the daytime (my studio is the garden shed) and I also play the piano during the day, we are ideally looking for someone who keeps normal office hours.
We live in a large Victorian home and the rooms we let are: a self-contained loft conversion (with its own kitchen & bathroom), a room on the first floor and a room on the ground floor (which is currently available). It's nicely spaced out and makes it easy to have privacy but also to enjoy a cuppa and chat in one of the communal areas - kitchen, living room, garden.
The house backs on to Hollow Ponds, so plenty of space for picnics and early morning runs (if you're that way inclined!) The high street has a nice little mix of restaurants, bars and cafes.
For viewings or questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Thanks,
Nina and Kris
Here’s what our previous tenant, Sarah, said:
I have lived with Kris and Nina for a year and a half and I have absolutely loved it. They have a beautiful home, my favourite part being a stunning kitchen with an open brick wall and modern finishes. Your bedroom is lovely and spacious, with a lovely view of the garden, plenty of light and a really peaceful environment. They have always made me feel welcome and included in their home, whilst giving me my own privacy and freedom. I have especially enjoyed having insight into the world of arts, as Kris is a published writer/photographer and Nina a talented photographer. They are genuinely lovely people and I am only moving on as I have purchased my own place. Leytonstone is a great area, with excellent links to the city and you will be on the doorstep of all that trendy east London has to offer. Go in with an open mind - these two are not your stereotypical married couple!
And, here's what another tenant, Charlott, said:
Living with Nina and Kris has been absolutely delightful and I'm sorry to be moving out after a year of living with them. They have been incredibly helpful and made me feel at home from the first day. Since I've been living in London for a while I know how rare it is to find a place that is clean, cosy and contains such lovely housemates. I'll be sure to keep in contact with them after moving.
And another one from Pam: Having moved house 5 times in London, I can easily say that this houseshare is a rare-find. Nina and Kris have been the most wonderful landlords and Jess is an amazing housemate. They have all become good friends of mine! The house is beautiful and my room is super cosy. My favourite part is sunbathing in the back garden during summer months! I’ll really miss this house and everyone. Happy to have a chat or answer any questions!
