This isn’t a typical house-share. It’s a beautifully curated five-bedroom Victorian home in Leytonstone, and for the right two people this summer, it’s an extraordinary place to live.
The communal spaces are genuinely special. The main lounge has an open fire, floor-length velvet curtains, a gallery wall and original Victorian doors opening onto the garden — Theres also a TV lounge ( not pictured) with Sky Glass TV, it feels more like a boutique hotel than a house-share. A second reception room doubles as a library, with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a library ladder and a leather reading chair. The kitchen is large, fully equipped and flooded with light, opening directly onto the garden.
The bathroom is designer-finished throughout — dark mosaic tile, double vessel sinks, glass shower and atmospheric lighting.
Outside, there’s a generous deck and mature garden: planted, layered and genuinely lovely in summer.
Six minutes’ walk to Leytonstone Underground (Central line, Zone 3). Close to shops, cafés and local amenities.
All bills included: gas, electric, water, council tax, TV licence and fast broadband.

The arrangement

We will be overseas for the duration, so the two of you will essentially have this home to yourselves — calm, private and well looked-after. On rare occasions we may need to be in London overnight for family reasons; we would use our own bedroom and bathroom only, which won’t affect you.
We keep things simple: pay rent on time, keep the house clean, treat it with care. No parties, no noise, no unnecessary visitors.
There is potential to extend beyond the initial two months — to be discussed nearer the time.

Preferably two professionals who are responsible and will treat our home with respect.

The Garden Room — £950/month
A quiet, light-filled double on the first floor, overlooking the garden. Set down its own corridor for real privacy — a calm retreat after a day in the city.
The bed features a handmade mattress from The Big Table Company, a London specialist known for exceptional quality. Pretty botanical wallpaper, wardrobe, desk, bedside tables and lamps.

The Victorian Room — £1,000/month
A generous, characterful double with an original Victorian fireplace, ample storage and a real sense of space. The original wardrobes, antique desk and wingback armchair give it genuine personality.
European queen-sized bed (150cm — wider than a standard double). Warm tones and carpet make it feel settled and comfortable from day one.
