Description
Hi! I’m looking for a new flatmate to share my home. My current flatmate is moving out to live with his partner, so I’m looking for someone new to join the flat from November.
📍 About the location
The flat is with good access to East London and central London. It’s a convenient location for getting around the city, while still having plenty of local amenities nearby.
It’s particularly well connected for getting into central London and around areas such as Shoreditch, Liverpool Street, Canary Wharf and the City.
🛏️ The room & flat
The room and flat will be unfurnished as the current furniture belongs to my existing flatmate. However, he is happy to leave the bed and desk in the bedroom if needed, so we can discuss this.
The living room currently doesn’t have a sofa or dining/kitchen table. If you already have suitable furniture and would like to bring it along, that would be great. Alternatively, we can discuss buying the existing furniture from my flatmate.
💷 Rent & bills
Rent: £1,225 per month
Bills + council tax: approximately £150 per month
So the total monthly cost is around £1,375, depending on actual bills.
The tenancy is managed through an agency, so the new flatmate will need to go through the usual reference/checking process required by the agency.
About me
Hi! I’m a 38-year-old gay male originally from Taiwan. I work full-time in e-commerce in central London and currently work from the office around 3 days a week.
Outside of work, I enjoy visiting museums and galleries, going to the park, keeping active at the gym, and travelling. I travel fairly often for work and also to visit my partner, so there will be times when I’m away.
Looking for
I’m looking for a friendly and considerate person to share the flat with. Ideally, you’re clean, respectful of shared spaces and have a similar approach to keeping the home comfortable.
The flat is a relaxed space so it’s not really a party flat. I’m happy to have friends over occasionally and enjoy a social home, but I’d prefer someone who also values having a calm and peaceful place to come back to.
It would also be great if you’re not working from home all the time, as I think it’s nice to have a good balance between having your own space and occasionally enjoying some company at home.
I’m looking for a single occupant.
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, feel free to message me with a little bit about yourself, your work/lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a flatshare. Happy to arrange a viewing and have a chat! 🙂
