Hi, I have a double room to let in my flat with its own bathroom. Bills are not included. Council Tax Band B and E.

The rent indicated is for a full time short term let. For Mon-Fri lets, please contact me as it depends on the number of days a week you will need the room for, how regularly you need it etc. Please note, I would not be able to consider an occasional Mon-Friday let. It would need to be a regular rental. :)

The flat is in a clean, modern newly built building on East Smithfield within 2 blocks of Tower Bridge and is just outside the St. Katherine's Dock/Marina. It has wood flooring throughout except in the bathrooms The flat also has a Juliette balcony overlooking East Smithfield which is quite handy for an elevated view of the London Marathon.

The neighbourhood: The location is extremely suitable for anybody working in the City or Canary Wharf. There is a Waitrose (2 minutes away); Sainsbury's and Tesco and even a Curzon cinema in the neighbourhood.

I am in my early 50's .. and work at a nearby university 3 days a week. I would prefer someone who does not work at home. although the occasional work from home days should not be a problem. Just to note, I am also an extremely tidy person and am looking for someone who is also keen to keep the place clean and tidy and clutter to a minimum. With everything else, I am pretty flexible.

Transport nearby: If you are not familiar with Tower Hill, it is Zone 1 London, right next to Tower Bridge, the Tower, Tower Hill Tube stop and only a 15 - 20 minute walk to Shoreditch and Liverpool Street with easy access to the other areas in the City [walking distance] and Canary Wharf [DLR stop Tower Gateway - 7 minutes walk]]. There are three tube stops close by; Tower Hill [closest at 7 minutes], Aldgate & Aldgate East [10 minutes].

Due to refurbishment, some of the features will look different painting, bathroom refurbishments etc. I will update the photos by this weekend (Aug 22) once the work is completed. Viewings can be scheduled from August 24th onwards.
