Double Room for rent in Large Hackney Home

Hi, I’m Samantha, or Sam, and I am one of the flatmates and owner of our lovely Hackney home. Together with Kitty (current flatmate), I am looking to complete the household!

A bit about the room:
Furnished double room, recently redecorated, double bed with underbed storage, & a dresser. There is space to add a rolling rack or desk. There is a full bathroom next door which is shared with Kitty. The room overlooks a park so there is plenty of light and beautiful views.

A bit about the house:
The house is a 1500 sq ft 4 bedroom house over three floors. A private entrance from the road leads upstairs to the kitchen, dining & living space as well as a North facing Terrace. The kitchen and living room has just undergone a full renovation and has been professionally designed to a high standard.

The kitchen has an induction stove, dishwasher, and large fridge/freezer.

The available bedroom is on the second floor along with the full bathroom, Kitty's room, laundry cubbard and a single bedroom I use as an office.

My bedroom and en-suite are on the third floor so there is good separation & privacy for people when they need space.

All bills, including weekly cleaner for communal areas, are included. Council Tax band C.

A bit about me:
I am American and moved to London over a decade ago for work. During the week, I go to the office 2/3 days, but otherwise work from home. Most of my friends live in East London (and many are former flatmates!) so I’m usually wandering around the neighbourhood socialising. I have a partner, Dominic, who is also around on an occasional weekday/weekend.

Kitty is recently 30, Irish and has made London home after many years. She works as an agent for photographers and stylists & produces short films as a passion project. She enjoys live performances especially theatre & comedy shows.

Together we love grabbing a bite or drink in the neighbourhood as well as making dinner and enjoying some couch time to yap or watch a film.

The house isn't complete without my 5 year old rescue Tabby cat, Mara. She is quite skittish and mostly likes to keep to herself in my room but she will come and hang out at dinner time. If you would like to befriend her it will take patience and lots of treats.

Weekends are definitely bookended by the great markets on the doorstop. The flat is in between Broadway Market for Saturday and Columbia Road on Sundays.

The room is available starting in March.
