Description
Hello! And welcome to your new home(?).
I’ve got a fully furnished, reasonably sized double room I am excited to rent under the Rent-a-Room scheme (you will be a lodger). The room comes with all new stuff including a double Ottoman bed with a luxury mattress, adjustable standing/sitting desk, office chair, standing wardrobe, and chest of drawers. The property is a two bed, two bathroom, with the common areas being shared.
The property is situated next to the new Bow View development. As such, it’s in a decent pocket of E3, and an up-and-coming area, with loads of local amenities. It’s also well connected, transport-wise:
1. Mile End underground (on the Central (night tube as well!), District, and Hammersmith & City lines) is 10 minutes’ walk away.
2. Various DLR stations about 10-15 minutes’ walk away.
3. Bus stops right outside.
4. Santander bikes right outside.
5. A local Sainsbury’s (complete with fairy lights) just over the road.
6. A range of local restaurants, cafes, eateries, & takeaways within easy walking distance.
7. A few local parks.
8. Local pubs.
9. Various gyms nearby.
In addition to these, the flat itself is nice and in good condition (hoping to keep it that way!). It has a spacious living room as well as a large balcony with a communal green space outside – especially nice in the summer!
You’ll be sharing the flat with a 39-year-old guy working in tech (me) who is also undertaking a part-time master’s. I WFH and my working hours are very flexible, my lifestyle & studies reflect that. Hobbies-wise, I am into health & fitness, wellbeing, music (occasionally going out, pubs, clubs, etc.), films, and a bit of dance… the usual.
I’m looking for a clean, respectful, and friendly working professional or maybe a mature student to share my living space with (terms to be discussed). No couples, no smokers, and no pets. I had a great experience with the last person I shared a place with, and we are still in touch, I’m hoping that this could be the same.
The practicalities are as follows:
1. Rent £1200 per calendar month.
2. Deposit £1200.
3. Bills included are heating, electricity, water, council tax (which is ‘band D’), TV license, full fibre broadband, & media package (extended TV channels), i. e., everything.
4. In addition to the above bills, I will also pay for/provide all flat consumables such as toilet roll, hand soap, cleaning products, bin liners etc..
5. If you like the look of the place, we can talk more. For insurance and living experience purposes etc., I will be using SpareRoom’s background check services and will want a basic DBS check (I will cover the cost) against whoever does take the room.
6. Move in date: room available now.
If you are interested, send me a message and provide some info about yourself! Look forward to meeting you.
