I’m looking for a lovely new flatmate to join me in my bright, peaceful home overlooking the canal in Haggerston.

This is my home, and I’d love it to become your home too - a friendly, welcoming and calm space where everyone feels comfortable and has their own privacy.

There is one other bedroom in the flat, so ultimately there will be three of us.

THE HOME & FLATMATE VIBE

Home for me is somewhere to rest, recharge and feel peaceful, so being tidy and considerate is really important.

I’d love to live with someone who enjoys a friendly atmosphere - cooking together, having a chat or sharing a glass of wine - but who also values having their own space and quiet time. I’m looking for someone who is clean, tidy and naturally contributes to keeping the home nice: cleaning up after themselves, taking the bins out, replacing things when they run out etc.

Friends and partners are welcome from time to time, but I’m not looking for a flat that regularly has people staying over or becomes a party/pre-drinks flat.

I’d also ideally prefer someone who doesn’t work from home five days a week. 1–2 days is absolutely fine, but I’d like the living room to remain a shared space rather than someone’s permanent office.

Ultimately, I’m looking for someone kind, mature, respectful, clean, tidy and easy to live with.

THE FLAT

The flat is modern, beautifully maintained and lovingly decorated, with a fantastic canal-side location.

There’s a bright open-plan kitchen/living room with modern appliances, TV, WiFi, a large dining table and a big comfy sofa. Skylights and full-length glass doors open onto a flower-filled balcony overlooking the canal, with lovely views across London.

The available room is a bright double bedroom with canal-facing views. The main bathroom is shared with just me; the other bedroom has its own en-suite.

LOCATION

The flat is less than a minute from Haggerston Overground, with excellent bus connections including night buses into Central London.

There’s secure bike storage in the building and rental bikes directly outside. Yoga, restaurants and bars are right downstairs, with Tesco Express and Lidl a couple of minutes away.

London Fields and its open-air swimming pool are nearby, as are Hackney City Farm, Broadway Market, Columbia Road and Brick Lane. Shoreditch and Dalston are also easily accessible.

ABOUT ME

I’m friendly, warm and sociable, and use she/they pronouns. I love good food, travelling, the gym, yoga and mindfulness, walking along the canal, markets and reading. My biggest passion is surfing. I often travel and sometimes work abroad seasonally. When I’m away for longer periods I sublet my room. I may also sometimes need to crash on the sofa for a couple of nights between trips while changing bags. I’m very respectful of shared space and always mindful of other people’s routines and privacy.
