Loft Conversion in Bounds Green

Hi There,

My name is Maggie and I am looking for a female lodger to say with me in my small Victorian home in Bounds Green, North London, 1 February - 30 April.

I usually have AIRBNB guests in both rooms. However, in the last couple of years, I have really noticed how it goes very quiet after Christmas. There has not been anyone up in the loft since just after the new year. I am reliant on income from those rooms to pay my mortgage, and my long-term savings are dwindling, so I thought I better look for alternatives. I have used spare room. com in the past when I used to have lodgers here and they have all been lovely, so here I am back advertising the loft conversion.

It is fairly self-contained up there. There is an enormous bathroom just a few steps down with a full bath. And, there’s a workspace, a kettle, a double bed and a futon.

You will have a shelf in the kitchen and a shelf in the fridge downstairs. I have been vegan for years and recently started eating fish and eggs as I am older now and my body needed more protein sources. I still don’t cook any animals in the house and would prefer a housemate who did not cook any animals in the house either.

I put that there is one other person living here: that’s me. And, there is every chance that we might have some AIRBNB bookings during the three months for the small room next to mine which shares a bathroom with me. As it is a very slow time for AIRBNB; at the moment, there are no bookings until one woman is coming to stay in mid-April with me when she comes to do Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Norman Blair. I get lots of Norman’s students because I am a Yoga Teacher too and I know Norman! The only other people who would be here regularly are my daughter and son-in-law who come to stay occasionally for a weekend or a night.

And, of course, there is Sparkle, my senior cat! She’s 16 and can be a bit eccentric. She is stone cold deaf, so she cannot hear how loud she’s meowing and occasionally it is very loud! So, the person who comes must be cat friendly and, preferably, somebody who wouldn’t mind feeding her once in a while if I need to be away for a couple days; although, I don’t have any retreats nor am I scheduled to teach outside London during these three months.

I do work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and I’m often around cleaning the house. I have a yoga studio that used to be the living room and sometimes it becomes a living room again. However, that is not included as the living room for all, as I do use it for work. The dining room has become a dining room with a sofa in it as well, so a dining room/lounge.

All and all, I think that my house carries a lovely energy. I have Super Host status on AIRBNB from lots of five star reviews. I think the right person would enjoy three months here. Is it you?!
