TRANSPORT

• 10–15-minute walk from the property to Woodside Park and Finchley Central Station both on the Northern Line.
HOUSEHOLDER
A lovely lady in her 90’s lives in a 2-bedroom ground floor flat in Barnet, North London.
The lady is already surrounded by a great support network with her four children and light duties from carers for 5 hours per week. The lady is widowed and a little lonely. Her family feel she would benefit from having a homesharer to provide companionship, and an overnight presence along with some support with daily activities to make things a little easier for their mum. The lady is mobile but uses a walking stick for balance.
The lady’s routing consists of waking up for breakfast at 9am. Likes to be out for 10:30 for her morning activities. 12:30 she has her lunch followed by a quiet afternoon, then likes to have dinner around 6pm and bedtimes can vary on how she feels. She enjoys cross stitch, makes her own cards and attends a weekly knit and natter group to practice her crochet. She endeavours to keep mobile by attending yoga and going on walks. Most of all she likes to chat.
She and her family are attracted to Homesharing as they like the idea of having an extra presence in the house who is able to offer some support to their mother with the added reassurance of having overnight presence and some companionship.
The ideal homesharer would be a female in her 30’s+, speaks clear English without any strong accent as she has some hearing difficulties.
Ideally someone who will be able to cook or prepare an evening meal and sometimes share an evening meal together.
Someone who is clean, caring, understanding, kind and compassionate, tidy. Can offer some companionship.
Applicants must be non-smokers and will consider someone with a pet.
Would suit an individual interested in offering some light support to an elderly woman.
ACCOMMODATION
A large spacious 2-bedroom ground floor flat. The homesharer’s room is a street facing light and airy double sized bedroom with a single bed, fitted wardrobes with a dressing table. A family sized shared bathroom with a shower, hand wash basin, WC. Kitchen/diner/lounge with dining table, chairs, sofa, TV, heating, and study/home office desk/cupboards area with office chair. With access to a mature outdoor garden area with seating and a table to enjoy a morning drink whilst watching the local wildlife.
Wifi is available throughout the property.
