Description
Double Bedroom to rent in N4 (Zone 2) £780 pcm including bills, available from August 14th.
ROOM:
The room is a good size with a huge sash window that overlooks the garden of a nearby church. It comes furnished with a bed and a large set of drawers. It also has built in shelving and a clothes rail.
HOUSE:
It’s a lovely, spacious flat with high ceilings, spread across three floors, cosy kitchen and a big living room. It’s a little shabby chic around the edges, but it's a nice place and reasonably priced for the area.
HOUSEMATES:
You'll be living with: Sarah (she/her, 37, white, costumier) and Emma (she/her, 38, white, teacher & artist). It's a calm & friendly house - we like to hang out and have dinner together, but we also have our own stuff going on and like our own space. We're both leftwing, queer, s-x positive, feminist trade unionists and ideally so are you. Our interests include: art, theatre, reading, music, film, museums, elaborate dinner parties, and workplace organising. Tell us about yours!
YOU:
Looking for a friendly, tidy housemate who would like to make this house their home! Aged 35 or older and looking for a long term set up. Someone who’s up for communal living but also likes their own space.
LOCATION:
The location is great! It’s technically Islington (but on the border with Haringey), literally 2 minutes from Stroud Green Road which has loads of good cafes, pubs, shops etc. Parkland Walk is 7 mins away, Finsbury Park is 10 mins and it’s easy to get to Hampstead Heath too! Transport wise, it’s a 4 minute walk to Crouch Hill Overground, 12 minutes to Finsbury Park station (Underground & National Rail), and there’s loads of buses in the area too.
RENT + BILLS:
Rent including bills is £780 pcm. Deposit is five weeks rent.
Bills include electricity, water, gas, council tax, Virgin wifi, TV licence, toilet roll and a cleaner fortnightly for the kitchen and bathroom.
TENANCY & LANDLORD:
You'll be taking over part of a rolling contract. It’s the standard two months notice to move out. The landlord is friendly but professional, and is quick with any problems/repairs.
DOCUMENTS, REFERENCES & BENEFITS:
The landlords ask for:
Proof of identity (Passport), Proof of income (3 months payslips & 3 months bank statements), Proof of previous address (Latest bank statement or utility bill), Previous landlord reference or contact information. If you are self employed you may be asked to provide a British based guarantor.
ACCESSIBILITY
There are a lot of stairs. There are 10 external stairs to the front door, then 18 internal stairs from the internal front door to the floor that has the kitchen, living room and bathroom on, and then 17 stairs up to the bedroom. There isn't a phone entry system or any visual or hearing impairment adaptations.
