Description
Yo! My flatmate is moving in with his girlfriend, so I’m looking for someone to move into this characterful Victorian conversion on Queen’s Drive, just off Clissold Park.
The flat has high ceilings and a spacious shared living room with original bay windows and wooden floors, giving it much more character than the average flatshare. The bedroom is a really good size, with plenty of space for a double bed, desk/WFH setup and storage. It comes fully furnished, including the bed, desk, chest of drawers and wardrobe. All the other rooms in the photos are shared.
We’re right on the edge of Highbury and Stoke Newington, with Clissold Park basically on the doorstep. It’s around a 10 minute walk to Arsenal tube and 15 minutes to Finsbury Park, while Stoke Newington Church Street, Green Lanes and Newington Green are all within easy reach. There are loads of pubs, cafés, restaurants and shops nearby, but the flat itself is on a residential stretch of Queen’s Drive with a barrier preventing through traffic, so it stays surprisingly quiet despite being so well connected.
About me: I’m an easy going 32-year-old guy working in marketing who loves music, football, film and pretty much all kinds of art. I’m from north London, so I know the area very well and genuinely can’t think of many better places to live!
Who I’m looking for: My preference is for another guy (I think it’s just easier that way) who’s reliable, friendly and easy to get along with. Obviously we’ll both have our own lives, but it would be great to find someone who shares some interests and is up for a drink or hanging out now and then, rather than just living like strangers. Although hopefully you won’t be another United fan… On the obligatory cleaning question, I’m not uptight about this and don’t expect the place to be spotless, but equally want someone who’ll do their share and has a bit of consideration for the communal spaces.
You’ll need to be a working professional so we can get you added to the tenancy, and you’ll need to move in on/around 14th December, although a month earlier could potentially be arranged.
Rent: £1,125 pcm + approx. £200 pcm for bills, including gas, electricity, water, WiFi and council tax (Band D). Deposit approx. £1,200 (exact amount TBC).
If you’re interested, send me a little bit about yourself, what you’re into and what your usual WFH/living routine looks like. Then we can arrange a viewing and, if it seems like a good fit, grab a quick drink afterwards.
