Double en-suite room in Peckham Rye/East Dulwich

We’re looking for a new housemate to join us in our house between Peckham and East Dulwich from mid-November (flexible from 1st November).

The house

It’s a big three-storey terrace with a spacious open-plan kitchen/living room, bifold doors out to the garden and enough communal space that six people aren’t constantly on top of each other.

We’re in a great spot – about 8 minutes from Peckham Rye station, 15 minutes from Lordship Lane and 5–10 minutes from Peckham Rye Park and Common. Plenty of pubs, restaurants, coffee spots and green space on the doorstep, so it’s a pretty good part of London to call home.

We also have a cleaner every fortnight.

The room

A bright, quiet double on the first floor with its own en-suite bathroom and plenty of space.

It comes with a double bed, floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobe, clothes rail and bedside table. The chest of drawers and green chair in the photos belong to the current housemate, so won’t be staying.

Us

There are five of us, aged 26–32, working across finance, design, energy and the civil service. We’re into a fairly mixed bag of things - gigs, festivals, art, running, the gym, going out and everything in between.

We get on well and actually spend time together, whether that’s chatting rubbish in the kitchen, heading to the pub or ending up on a night out. But we’re not a house that does absolutely everything together either. Everyone has their own stuff going on, which works well.

Ideally we’re after a guy aged around 26–35 to balance out the house. More importantly, someone who’s good company, considerate and up for being part of the house rather than just renting a room.
