Description
We've got a large room (existing tenants have a preference for a women who has a 9-5 lifestyle) in a house on a modern private riverside estate known as King Henry's Wharf, between Charlton and Woolwich. You'll be sharing the house with 3 other women and one man. Previous housemate had the room for 10 years!
The room is on the third floor (of three) and approx 15 x 13 with a double bed with new Ikea mattress, mirrored sliding wardrobe (equivalent to 7 door wardrobe), desk, set of draws, bedside cabinet etc. It's been repainted and has new carpet.
The kitchen/diner has an electric oven/hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, two large fridge freezers (you get half of one), dinning table with chairs, large flat screen TV with apps for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Now TV (Cinema and Entertainment pack), Disney+ all included. This is a non-smoking house.
There are two bathrooms in the house, both with baths/showers/toilets/sinks and the top floor bathroom is shared with one other women.
The communal area's are cleaned weekly.
There's bike racks in the garage for a bike and there's plenty of permit free on street parking as well as private off street parking. There are several gyms within a mile of the house.
To the rear there's a garden. For London the area is peaceful.
The rent includes all bills like council tax/water/gas/electricity/TV licence/internet/TV Apps. All the toilet/kitchen roll, washing up liquid, bin liners, hand soaps etc are provided.
Commute wise, most people get one of the buses to North Greenwich tube station (home of the O2/Dome) for the Jubilee line and then it's 1 stop to Canary Wharf (you only need a zone 2 card for this) and then 19 minutes to Bond Street (passing through London Bridge, Waterloo, Westminster, Green Park etc). Nearest train station is 8 minutes walk away (Woolwich Dockyard - zone 3) to London Bridge, Charing Cross or you can get the DLR from Woolwich into Bank. We are (still!) looking forward to Crossrail opening!
You'll need to pass referencing which requires 3 months bank statement and 3 months payslips and show your monthly earnings are at least 2.3 times your rent.
