Double room in cosy queer home, Barnes Bridge

We’re looking for a friendly, sociable person to join our lovely 3-bed ground-floor flat in Barnes Bridge.

You’d be living with two queer people — myself and my housemate — who both work in the charity sector, plus our very cute cat Pookie. We’re a creative household, with lots of art and writing happening around the flat, and we’re looking for someone who’d enjoy being part of a friendly, relaxed home rather than simply sharing a space.

We’re a pretty social and creative household, with lots of art/writing happening around the flat. We tend to cook together, share cleaning and generally have a nice, friendly home rather than living completely separately.

The room is cosy and quiet, at the back of the flat away from the main road, overlooking the garden. It gets lovely afternoon sunlight and is a really peaceful space. We’ve also got a washing machine/dryer in the kitchen and a lovely garden with a hammock, which is amazing in the summer.

Barnes Bridge station is a 7-minute walk away, and Mortlake station is 15 minutes away, and it only takes 25 minutes to get to Waterloo. We’re also a minute from the river, and you can almost see it from the flat. There are lots of lovely Barnes pubs, cafés and shops very close by.

We’re looking for someone friendly, considerate and sociable who’d like to actually be part of the household. We like having people over, cooking together, hanging out, but equally everyone has their own lives and space.

Rent is £766/month + £115/month for bills, plus council tax (Band E).
