Furnished double room on quiet square in Brixton

Hey SpareRoom,

I have a gorgeous double bedroom available in a Victorian ground floor flat.

I will be your flatmate. I’m a laidback 39 year old Londoner who is hoping to live with someone sociable and considerate. And you’re going to have to love animals as my pets will demand your affections (a spaniel and two cats).

I have lived in Holmewood Gardens since 2012 and it truly is one of Brixton’s hidden gems. A close knit and caring community, we are very lucky to live close to excellent transport and local amenities. Brixton, Streatham, and Tulse Hill are all ten minutes away, and Clapham, Balham and Herne Hill are a 20 minute walk. 20 minutes also happens to be how quickly you can get into central London - all hail the Victoria Line :)

Whether you enjoy a dog walk in amazing Brockwell Park, a local pub, or a dog walk to a local pub, I’m hoping to find someone who is independent but keen to contribute to a warm and friendly home.

So the digs: naturally your bedroom is your own. We will share a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The garden is basically a dance floor and outdoor kitchen so BBQ skills would be a big bonus. I love to cook and host so you’d always be welcome to have friends over, I’d want you to feel like it’s truly your home, although not doing so much of that these days because like everyone else I seem to just work and sleep now!

I have no issues with anyone’s diet choices but you should know I’m not vegan/vegetarian myself.

I have been wonderfully happy here over the years and have yet to find a local who doesn’t love our area. I’m sure it will be the same for you :)

All bills are included, and I’m open to short term lets, or Monday-Friday too x
