Cosy home in Queens Park/West Kilburn

We are 2 professionals (1M, 1F) looking for a friendly, clean, chill flatmate with a sense of humour who wants to be part of a home. We both currently work from home and enjoy a calm house during the week and respect each others space, but like to hang out cook, watch Netflix or enjoy a beer together. Looking for someone like-minded to join our cosy home. 

The room

The bedroom that is available faces onto the garden away from street. This small double benefits from additional wardrobe space and has new double-glazed windows.

The room is available on 22nd March. The rent is £595.00 per month, bills are typically £70-80 and the deposit is £686.53.

The flat

The flat is a lovely bright 3-bed Maisonette (split across first and second floors), so a good amount of space. There is a spacious shared living room -with a dining table, tv and a growing collection of games- where we like to relax. A bright, fully fitted kitchen (washing machine, and a modern kitchen with gas stovetop, electric oven) it has pretty much all you'd need to feel at home...and a little breakfast bar! One of the housemates loves cooking and we love to share a takeout every now and then. There is a bathroom with shower and bath. The flat has been completely renovated to a high standard recently so everything is in good condition and we are lucky to have a great landlord too.

The area

The property itself is on a lovely quiet, safe residential street and is just a stone’s throw from Paddington Recreation Ground and Queen's Park park. There are plenty of local restaurants, pubs and and bars nearby as well as Sainsbury's/Coop/M&S supermarkets and several gyms. It is a 10 minute walk to Queen’s Park station (Bakerloo and Overground) and Westbourne Park (Circle & Hammersmith and City) as well being near plenty of bus routes.

The flatmates

We are two professionals - Prina (30, designer), Daniel (27, phd/teaching assistant). We are a social flat and enjoy having flat dinners when everyone is around. During lockdown we have enjoyed going for walks nearby with a coffee from our local coffee shops. It's a lovely area with lots of nice places and parks to stroll to and close to supermarkets and the city. On the weekends if everyone's around we love to have drinks/dinner and have a chat or play some boardgames/watch movies. We also love animals so if you do too that's a bonus!
