Description

Hello everyone,

We are looking for a new person to join us in our friendly house in Lower Clapton. There are three people living here and we are currently looking for a fourth person (currently two female and one male).

We are looking for people interested in long-term living, we’re all in our mid-late thirties. The room is available from the 12th of June. It’s medium-sized with a double bed, it’s located on the back with the view of the garden, with lots of light. Please refer to the photos to get an idea of the size of it. The rent is £530 and the bills come around £100-£125 per month. The room includes basic furniture, but feel free to bring your own if you like. The house is large and includes a living room, workroom, two bathrooms, shed and a lovely garden where we’re growing vegetables.

We are all professionals – working in the arts or the creative sector. The range of our work includes, working in art universities as lecturer, artist, film-editor, fine art, and research. We like cycling, gardening, watching films in the living room and cooking. We would really like to live with someone who has similar interests in the arts and perhaps work in related areas. Most of us are working from home right now, but usually from studios, university campuses, offices. The people in the house include Sadie, Mohammad, and Julie, we are former art MA and PhD students of colleges such as Chelsea College of Art, Royal College of Art and London College of Communications – so always lots of creativity is on the go .

We treat the house as our home, sharing dinner and conversation, but also appreciate each other’s privacy. We maintain a clean and tidy house, a character we expect also from the new tenant.

The house is a few minutes from Chatsworth road, with its shops and cafés, 10-min walk to Hackney Central Overground St, and a 15-min walk to Hackney Marshes where you can find the beautiful River Lee and plenty of leafy area to explore in the marshes. Hackney Central Overground takes you to Highbury Islington in two stops, there are multiple buses that can take you to central London.

We are thinking to create a gender balance in the house but in the end, it’s all about finding a nice person to live with, so we are open to receiving interests from all. If you are interested, please write a bit about yourself and let us know what you do.

Thank you, and we look forward to meeting you in due course.

Mohammad, Sadie, Julie
