Large double room in 4 bedroom house, located in the Lower Clapton/Homerton (Hackney E5) area, has become available as the previous tenant is moving out. The house is very good vibes, the garden is a great plus and the area is lovely (+ the landlord is great)!
The room is on the first floor and comes unfurnished (except one sturdy clothing rail).
The area is fairly quiet and residential, located just off Chatsworth Road which has a plenty of stores and a great community feel. You are in walking distance to cultural hotspots such as Hackney Central, Hackney Wick, Dalston and Stoke Newington. There are plenty of green spaces around including, Hackney Marshes, Walthamstow Marshes, Millfield’s Park, Victoria Park and Clissold Park. And we are a stones throw from the River Lea Canal which has great cycle routes.
There are plenty of travel amenities nearby, 10 minute walk to Homerton station for Overground services and plenty of bus routes in walking distance.
We are an LGBTQIA+ friendly house of 3 females aged 30-39 from America, Finland and the UK, a mix of professionals and mature students. Animal lovers essential as one tenant has a dog named Jessie (no new pets welcome), who is an adorable staffie who loves people! We are a chilled household who consider this our home, so we would prefer a long term tenant that fits in with our group. We like to socialise with each other and spend time together but also respect each others privacy. We are not really a ‘party’ house and have a no drugs policy, also smoking is only allowed outside.
The house has an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs shower/WC as well as a large kitchen/dining area. The house was renovated in 2016, a new ‘A’ rated Vaillant eco-tec boiler was fitted in 2021 and our garden was recently redesigned. The landlord is always happy to arrange to fix/update things as necessary and is very communicative with us.
The room is available from September 10th, rent is £750PCM (paid to the landlord), deposit is £750 which will be put in a deposit protection scheme and bills equate to roughly £130PCM. Each tenant holds the account for one bill, and we set up standing orders to each other for our share.
